Raven's POV
This might be the worst decision I've made in my life.
Why was it so important for me and Hikaru not to argue? I'm much nicer than him. In fact, I can be just as nice as the next person, I just choose not to be! Is that such a bad thing?
I clicked my pen again as I glared across the classroom at Hikaru. When I caught Skye looking at me, I huffed and started to scribble something on my paper.
After class got let out, I turned to Skye.
"What are we doing today?" I asked leaning my head on the palm of my hand. My head ached.
"I dunno. What's wrong?" she asked with a pout. I shook my head.
"Nothing, nothing. Just a little headache is all. Can you do me a favor and ask those two idiots what we're doing today?" I asked with humor to keep her from worrying about me.
"Of course!" She grinned before spinning around and walking off to where the two redheads sat.
I closed my eyes for a brief second and felt an odd feeling like someone was watching me. Gripping the top of the chair I sat in, I turned around to find nothing- no person, animal, or camera. Just nothing.
I rubbed my head and looked around to find the classroom almost deserted. Only me, Skye, the twins, and a couple of other students remained. I really needed to go home and take a nap.
"Raven! You ready to go?" I looked up to find Hikaru standing in front of me.
"Yeah, shut your trap." I mumbled. I stood up, grabbed my bag, and began to shuffle towards the door. My head was beginning to pound and the lighting in the stupid fairy-tale school wasn't helping.
"What's wrong with her?" I heard Hikaru grumble behind me. "Is this a violation of our agreement?"
"Nope. She just has a headache." I heard Skye perk up. "So we need to be quieter."
When we reached the Host Club and hosting had begun, I started thinking about the snowflake we found in our house. I had shrugged it off the best I could, but everyone is a little bit paranoid.
Skye hadn't brought it up yet, and neither had I. Originally, I never planned to bring it up. It was probably something stupid. Yet every time we were alone, all I wanted to do was ask her about it.
We had always had less 'customers' than the guys, but today was especially slow.
So I turned to Skye and did something I would probably regret.
"What's going on?" I asked quietly.
"What do you mean?" she responded, although I could tell there was a part of her that knew what I was talking about.
I just stared at her for a second to confirm, yes, I brought up this conversation.
"It's probably something stupid. We shouldn't worry about it." She mumbled. She sounded like she was reassuring herself more than me.
"We need to talk about it at least. The chances are probably one in a million that something could actually happen, but we need to be prepared." I explained. I couldn't think of how something could happen, but I wanted to make sure Skye was safe if it did.
"You're talking like we're going to die or something." She bit her lip and turned to face the window. "This is not a life or death situation. Father can't get to us. No one can."
"Skye-"
"Let's not talk about this. It's silly really." She still wasn't facing me.
Skye was also trembling a little. I wanted to punch myself for bringing this up with her. I knew how fragile she was. We went through the same thing, I know how horrible it was. There is no way she could want to think about this.
