Skye's POV

I looked over the dining room once again from my chair in between Raven and Haruhi.

I expected it to be grand, but it was very...simple. I didn't mean it in a bad way, because it was more than I would ever get for a dining room.

Basically, it wasn't too much.

It consisted of black, white and pale shades of blue and green. The marble table was plain black with specks of white in it, and it sat on a white carpet. The walls were a pale blue color, and a clear chandelier hung from the ceiling. To top it off, vases sat on small tables in the corner and pictures of the family hung on the wall.

"It's gorgeous in here," I mumbled after taking in my surroundings again.

"Oh, it's nothing really!" Fuyumi exclaimed as the maids set the table with all kinds of foods.

"So you have two brothers too?" Raven asked Kyoya, examining the picture.

"Yes. I'm the youngest," he muttered, and I frowned.

"What's wrong with being the youngest?" I asked, only slightly offended since I was technically the youngest as well.

"Well, it's much harder to work my way up. I have to work harder than my brothers if I ever want to be the head of the family," he explained before grabbing a plate.

"Why is it always about being the head of the family and having money and power with you wealthy people?" Raven asked, shaking her head in disappointment.

"This girl understands! Kyoya you just need to relax sometimes." Fuyumi huffed and I let out a giggle.

I took a plate from the stack and watched as everyone else got food. The cooks had made a really nice meal that vaguely reminded me of meals my mother used to cook. This meal was more grand though considering it resembled a thanksgiving meal.

"So, how did you two get sucked up into this?" she asked and I turned to Raven, silently asking her to explain. I know she would say only what was needed.

"Basically we were blackmailed by your brother, but it was cool in the end I guess." She shrugged it off like it was nothing.

"Typical Kyoya." Fuyumi grinned.

"Last time I checked, you two were getting paid to do this," Kyoya said with a small glare.

"Yeah, but that's not why we joined!" Raven sang and Kyoya rolled his eyes.

"It's not like I forced you to join."

"I mean technically-"

"Technically I did not-"

"It was a win win in the end though." I interrupted their dispute.

"Wonderful. So tell me, are you two only children?" Fuyumi asked and I tensed up as she got closer to our family life.

"Yeah, me and Skye live in an apartment, so it wouldn't have been good to have any little sisters or brothers to watch after," Raven explained, although I wouldn't mind having a little sibling. I bet we would have gotten a little sister or brother had our father stayed sane.

"Oh. I always wanted a little sister, but I was stuck with this." Fuyumi huffed.

"Yeah. Skye's an okay little sis." Raven smiled and I let out a pout. I was annoyed by the fact that I was only okay and the fact that she kept calling me 'little sis'.

"It's like a two minute difference!" I exclaimed as she burst out laughing.

Just as I was about to tell her that I was serious, a bell sounded through the house, cutting me off.
