~Rosie's POV~
The day started out like any other, wake up at sunrise and then get ready to join the family by the fire. Ethan had woken me up, like normal. I rubbed my eyes and stood up, walking over towards my twin sister, Lydia. "Lydia! Get upppppppp!" I yell while poking her face. Lydia moans and slowly sits up taking forever to stretch.
"You know, you could always shake me to get up. You don't have to yell," she says to me standing up. "I didn't yell, I just used loud words," I say before flicking her with my hair and walking over towards our younger brother, Travis. "Lydia, bring me your pillow please," I say, actually quieting my voice. She walks over to me and hands me the pillow, and I start beating his face with the pillow while Lydia screams "WAKE UP!" And you think I'm loud. "Okay! I'm awake!" I hear from under the pillow and fall onto my butt, laughing.
Ethan comes back from the stream, his hair all wet, soaking me and Lydia in the process. "Go wash up," he says bluntly. "Grouchy," I say before running to the stream with Lydia in tow. We wash up in the stream, helping each other wash our light brown, almost blonde, hair. We run back to camp and I tell Travis to go wash up, while Lydia goes to get changed. I walk over to the storage area where we keep our pots and pans for meals. Mom was already over there, getting the pots out to put over the fire. "Hey mom," I say before kissing her cheek and helping her prepare the bowls and utensils. "Where's Lydia?" She asks me, still preparing the pots. "Getting changed, she'll take over my place while I get changed," I say, finishing the bowls and utensils and taking them to the dining area. Lydia walks into the log cabin where our dining room was at, and I walk upstairs, taking the stairs two at a time. I quickly change into my outfit for the day, grab my sandals for around the house, and walk back downstairs with a bucket. "What are you doing with the bucket?" Lydia asks me, looking confused. "Going to collect eggs," I say to her while walking out back towards the chicken coop. The chicken coop was a little ways away from the house, we had it tucked away from everything else so the chickens would feel at ease. It didn't take long to get there with my long legs and I lift open the lid to grab the eggs.
