Chapter 18

~Lydia's POV~
"Wait, hold the phone," I hear Robert say as he gets out of the car.
"What phone?" Ethan asks confused.
"It's an expression dude," Robert says rolling his eyes. Ethan just gave him a look before he continued.
"You like Isabelle?" Robert asks with a sly smile and looked at Jace.
"Yeah, you like my boss?" Jace asks.
"Yeah so?" Ethan says.
"How about this buddy. Both me and Robert see Isabelle everyday, if you tell Rosie's parents about us, then I can tell Isabelle you like her and what a jerk you are," Jace says. I just stand there wanting to stand up for my brother but he was being unreasonable so I couldn't so I kept my mouth shut.
"You wouldn't dare," Ethan says.
"Watch me," Robert says before Jace could.
"Okay you got yourself a deal," Ethan says angrily before walking off.
"Wow, blackmail. Clever," I say to Robert smiling. He laughs at me and gives me a hug.
"What was that for?" I ask.
"Seems I won't be seeing you for a while, so a hug goodbye seemed appropriate," he says shyly.
"What about Rosie?" I ask shyly as well.
"I think Jace has her taken care of," he says looking over my shoulder towards them. I turn to see them hugging and they stood there the longest time but it was time to go.
"Rosie," I say quietly.
"I know," she says. Her and Jace kiss one last time before him and Robert got in the car a drove off. We walk a little further until we reach the cabin and we walk inside. Mom and dad were sitting at the table, m cutting herbs and dad skinning fish. Mom gets up from the table and runs over to us and pulls us into a big hug.
"I've bee worried sick!" She says with tears in her eyes, "come on let's eat," she says putting the herbs into the pot and pouring us out a bowl.
