Chapter 30

~Lydia's POV~
I sat there in shock but I didn't take my hand out of his.
"Yo....you care about me?" I ask in shock.
"Well yeah," he says kind of embarrassed. Travis looks over at us and starts chanting,
"Lydia's got a boyfriend! Lydia's got a boyfriend!" I let go of Roberts hand and put it over Travis's mouth.
"He isn't my boyfriend...."I say slowly.
"Um, I guess we should take the stew in for dinner," Robert says standing up.
"Yeah, yeah sounds good," I say standing up as well. Travis follows behind us as we walked inside but I stop dead in my tracks.
"Oh no," Robert says quietly. Travis screams and runs upstairs and Ethan comes inside behind us.
"Who screamed?" He asks worried.
"It's about to be dad," I say pointing to him.
"Uh oh," Ethan says out of breath. In front of us stood Jace and Rosie hand in hand with dad standing in front of them.
"What's the meaning of this?!" He screams not realizing we were standing there.
"Sir if I may," Jace tries to say but dad cuts him off.
"I don't want to hear I word out of you!" Dad yells.
"Daddy please..." Rosie says with tears in her eyes.
"You and Lydia are the only girls I have in my life anymore, so you not understand this?!" He screams.
"Dad I do but," Rosie says looking down at the floor.
"Let go of her hand!" He yells at Jace. Jace squeeze her hand one last time before slowly letting go.
"Dad! Please listen to me!" Rosie screams at the top of her voice. Dad stands there in shock that Rosie yelled that way. He sits down at the table and throws his hand in the air.
"Go ahead," he says as calmly as he could.
"I realize we are the only girls in your life. I understand how over protective you are, I do and I'm happy you care but you can't stop us from being happy," she says crying. Dad stands up and pushes Jace away so he could stand next to Rosie.
"He makes you happy?" Dad asks.
"Very," Rosie says looking at him. Dad sighs and looks over at Jace with anger in his eyes still.
"You EVER hurt my daughter, EVER! And you will be sorry you were even born, DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!" Dad yells.
"Yes sir," Jace says trying to hold back his worry. Dad looks at Jace then at Rosie then back at Jace then he looks over and sees us. He walks over to me and Robert and Ethan backs up.
"Anything going on between you two I don't know about?" He asks me.
"No daddy," I say telling the truth. He looks at Robert and Robert shakes his head. Dad pushes past us and went outside. Robert runs over towards where Jace and Rosie were hugging and Ethan went back upstairs. I sighed and went outside to where dad was sitting by the fire, I sat down next to him.
"Dad," i say quietly.
"Yeah," he says with a choke in his voice.
"It's gonna be okay."
