Third Person POV
Weeks go by and everything slowly goes back to 'normal'. Nobody talks about imposter that played as Angelica. Or the battle that the combat students had done but failed.
Exams came and went. Gossip was still there but nothing stuck around for long. The campus ministry made sure of it. Though that didn't mean that nobody was looking into any of the strange things that happened.
Aurora and her group of friends had been secretly getting training from Adrian and Zaniyah. There were people who were going to attack the capital and they wanted to be sure of who they were up against.
Cassian and Alexander both knew of this as well but were doing their own investigation with the royals.
Coralie and Ian had started talking again but were slow on going back to dating.
Everyone around Aurora's close circle started realizing that the abilities she had were not normal. It wasn't possible for her to learn everyone else's abilities. But she was able to learn every single thing that someone else was capable of.
Adrian realized that this could be a threat for her and made sure that she remembered to not discuss anything related to that on campus.
Aurora, Coralie, Lavender, Ry and Ian walk towards the end of their campus entrance.
Ian takes a step away from all of them.
"So.. Are you guys going to stay here for break?"
Ry steps in. "Yeah. I mean it's only two weeks so I guess I can start studying for my next chapters."
Aurora shakes her head. "I'm going back home. I need to check out a few things before I can come back here."
Coralie raises her eyebrow.
"You need approval from one of your teachers for that. And I don't think you have a good enough reason for them to let you go."
"I thought we agreed we weren't going back. At least as of right now?" Ry questions Aurora.
Lavender looks at the both of them. "I mean my family is here now. But I could sneak out with you if you really want to go. I feel like we barely spend time with each other."
Aurora nods her head to that. " Yeah, I wasn't planning on asking anyone. If anyone asks, I'm sick and can't get out of bed and Lav is taking care of me."
Ry scoffs. "Nobody is going to believe that. Someone would come to check up on you. And Lav is a busy person. What are the chances she won't be summoned by anyone during break?" she says and looks at everyone.
Everyone stays silent, knowing that is true.
Aurora sighs.
"Okay. Then I'll just go. There I things I need to check at my house. It's been a while and nobody lives there either so I have to go."
"Y'all figure your things out and give me a call when everything's sorted. Whoever stays, we can hang out over break. I'm staying here as well. I'll see you all later." Ian says and his eyes linger on a few extra seconds on Coralie before walking over to his friends who are waving him over.
"When are you two gonna figure things out? Cora he was just in a bad spot that time." Ry tells her.
"I know. I'm just.. I need time. We're already friends again. But seeing the anger in him, scared the hell out of me. I'm just scared he will lash out on me and I won't know what to do."
"Yeah but-"
Lavender rolls her eyes at Ry.
"Oh please Ry. Don't get me started on you and Cassian. Where is he anyway? I don't see him around you anymore."
Ry glares at her. To which Lavender glares back.
Aurora hides back a smile.
"I'm coming with you Ari. This place sucks. When are we leaving?"
"Tonight."
"So early?"
"Yup."
Everyone exchanges goodbye's and the group splits up: Ari with Ry and Lav with Coralie.
"So.. How are we going to do this?" Ry questions.
"We'll show up for today's dinner. Meet with everyone and then go back to our dorm to get our things."
"If anyone asks??"
"We are staying in the city."
They walk to their residence area and then go down their own paths to their dorm.
