Season 5 Episode 4 Lighting the Fire

Luna's POV

We are all now out side training. Ren is meditating as Ruby and Oscar are practicing there hand to hand combat. Me, Nora and Jaune are standing off to the side. Ruby goes to hit Oscar as Oscar blocks her punch with his arm. She then goes to kick him but he ducks missing it. Oscar try's to uppercut her but Ruby backs up and goes to punch him but he blocks it. Ruby goes to punch him again but he moves making her lose her balance. She then gets he balance back and they start trying to punch each other.

"Man. Oz wasn't kidding. Oscar's picking up on this stuff fast." Jaune says as I nod in agreement but continue to look at the farm boy. Oscar then punches Ruby straight in the face as my eyes widen. 

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!!" Oscar says as Ruby yells and punches Oscar straight in the face knocking him down.

Me Jaune and Nora all wince as Oscar hits the ground.

"That had to hurt." I say as I touch my cheek.

"Yes!!! I did it!!!" Ruby says as she jumps up and down. "Oscar?" She turns around to look at the farm boy on the ground.

"Why didn't you tell me." Oscar says out loud. I chuckle as I think my father told him to engage his aura. Oscar then sits up and his eye's glow green as Ozpin takes over. 

"Not bad Ms. Rose But Oscar doesn't have the years of training you do. Or I do." Ozpin says as he engages his aura. Jaune and Nora's eyes widen and look at Ruby nurviose as I just smirk.

"uhh. Well maybe we should uhh take a brake." Ruby says scared as she backs up a bit. Ozpin then goes to attack Ruby as Ruby blocks his punches. Ruby blocks with one of her arms leaving her face wide open. Ozpin punches her across the face as Ruby backs up in shock. Ozpin jumps up and and dose a roundhouse kick kicking Ruby down. Ruby punches the ground as she stands up and jumps up trying to punch him. Key word tried. Ozpin then ducks and brings his head up uppercutting her jaw making Ruby fall on her back in pain.

"Ouch." Nora says as Jaune and I wince. 

"The next time you want to throw a left cross remember to push off with the appropriate foot. And as always do be aware of any openings." Ozpin says standing straight.

"Got it." Ruby says in pain.  Oscar's eyes then glow as he falls to the ground breathing heavily. Ruby then runs over to him.

"Are you okay?" Ruby asks as she puts her hand on his back.

"How is this so exhausting?"

"Your body isn't used to this kind of training. Not to mention generating a defensive aura on your own. It takes intense concentration at first but in time it will become second nature. Allowing you to deflect attacks and heal your wounds. After that you can begin focusing on your semblance. What ever that may be." Ren says as he opens his eyes and closes them again.

"Semblance?" Oscar asks as him and Ruby stand up.

"You know like your very own super power! Everybody's got one It's just a matter of finding it and mastering it!" Nora says. "Ruby move super fast. Electricity make me stronger. Ren can mask emotions. Luna has water control and Jaune can Ummm."

"I can't do any-" Jaune starts but I cut him off.

"Jaune's like you." I say as I grab his hand and walk him over to where me and Jaune were standing. "He hasn't found his semblance yet. But we all know he will. And you will to." I tell him with a soft smile.

"We all just have to try and help each other get stronger." Ruby says as her and Nora walk over to us.

"Cool." Oscar says as he looks at Jaune with a smile.

"A common philosophy is that a worrier's semblance is a part of who they are. Some say your personality and character define your semblance. While some claim that it's the other way around. Of course there are still many that don't see a confection at all." Ren says as he looks at us.

"It's hard to know when you know. know sometimes. Ren's semblance was unlocked from intense stress. " Nora says as she puts her hand towards Ren.

"And mine kicking in during training one day." Ruby said.

"What about you?" Oscar asks Nora.

"Oh! Struck by lightning didn't die craaaaassssy Thursday." Nora says putting her hands on her hips.

"You?" Oscar says looking at me.

"Its a long story." I say with a chuckle. "It was a pool day with Ren and Nora and it went south." I say as Nora chuckles at the memory.

"I don't know what's wrong with me. I train. I medtatate." Jaune says as Oscars eyes glow and Ozpin took over.

"Don't worry Mr. Arc. Your journey is far from over. And the same can be said for all of you." Ozpin says as Ren walks over and stands next to Nora. "Unlocking your semblance isn't the end. It can still grow and evolve provided your willing to put in the work. Who knows what could happen." Ozpin says.

"Then let's get back to it!" Ruby says pumping her arms up.

"Ms. Lie Valkyrie. Your up." Ozpin says with a smirk.

"Do I have to?" I ask sulking.

"Yes." Ren and Nora say at the same time as I cross my arm's.

"Fine. Weapon's of No Weapon's?" I ask looking at Ozpin. 

"No weapons." Ozpin says as I sigh.

"Fine." I say as I take my fan's out of there holster's and hand then to Nora as I then take the Knife Ren gave me out of my boot handing it to Ren. Me and Ozpin then both walk into the middle. "I'll go easy on you old man." I say with a smirk.

"I may be old but I have a lot more skill than you." Ozpin says as he runs up to me and tries to punch me. I duck and block with my arms as I trip him with my legs. He then pushes off his hands and kicks himself up kicking me in the stomach doing so. I run up and go to punch him, but he ducks. He tries to do the same thing he did to Ruby, but I do a back tuck kicking him in the face.

"Nice work Ms. Lie Valkyrie." Ozpin says as he rubs his jaw. "But I'm not done yet." He says as he runs up and goes to kick me, but I block it. He then takes his other leg and kicks me across the face. I fall back onto my but as he goes to kick me again, but I roll to the right and do a kick up standing up facing him. I then do a back handspring backing away from him as he runs up and punches my back slamming me to the ground.

"Ouch." Ruby says backing up shivering.

"That had to hurt." Nora says as they all wince.

"Nice job Ms. Lie Valkyrie. You lasted longer than I expected. But don't leave yourself open and don't distract yourself." Ozpin says as I leave my face in the ground.

"Got it." I say as I sit up and brush my face and Combat gear off. 

This is going to be a long day. I think to myself as I lay back on the ground.
