Chapter 40

             ****THREE WEEKS LATER****

I woke up the next morning and Matt was still asleep so I did my morning routine, went to get the girls ready for the day and then went downstairs to make breakfast, Adelaide was running a bit late today but that wasn’t going to be a train smash since she was already on her way.

“Good morning Belle,” Matt said coming in fully dressed
“Morning, can you please do Sapphira’s hair because I think she’s full, I’ll just finish up with Stephania,” I said as I continued to feed Stephania.

“Oh Belle uhm mom called yesterday and she said she wants to take the girls out today, I forgot to mention that,” he said and I kind of dread where this is going.

“Yeah,” I replied.

Its been close to a month since Matt came home and I have managed to avoid his parents pretty well but like it’s getting really old now.

“So we’ll have to drop them off on our way to work,” he said

“Oh okay, let’s go then before we’re late, Adelaide is already on her way and she has the key so she can let herself in,” I said grabbing my bags and one twin while Matt did the same. 

We arrive at his parents’ house and carried the twins inside with their diaper bags.

“Good morning,” I mumble going inside with Stephania.
“Good morning guys, where are my grandbabies,” she cooed coming to take Steph.

“Mom where’s dad?” Matt asked looking around with a sleeping Sapph on his arms.
“Oh he had to handle some things at work so he already left,” she answered

“Wait are you going to be able to handle the girls alone,” Mathew asked

“Yes son don’t worry, if I need some help I can always go and fetch Adelaide plus I think your dad is not going to stay for long at the office, hey uhm Orabe-,” she was about to call my name

“I will wait for you in the car Mathew,” I said kissing my babies and going to the car.
I went to the car and waited for about five minutes before Mathew came. He started the car and we were on our way.

“Hey uhm you know mom was really upset about how you left,” he said after a while turning down the radio

“Okay and…?” I reply

“Come Belle don’t be like that,” he said softly

“Mathew don’t start with me, things between us just got good, don’t ruin it,” I said turning the radio back up and he decided to drop it.

We arrive at work and walk in hand in hand, we reach the reception to find our assistants waiting for us.

“Alright baby I will see you at lunch,” he said pecking my lips
“Alright, bye,” I said 
“Good morning Juliana what do we have today” I said as we made our way to my office.

“Well Mrs Porter, you have some visitors waiting for you, two back to back meetings, a staff meeting and then you, miss Lucy, Mr Porter, Mr Jameson, miss Clark, Mrs Sawyer and Mr Fellow have to go over some plans,” she finished

“Wait, guests, this early,” I wondered who they were and why they would come this early.

I entered my office only to find Kira, Kiana, Jasmine and Kyle in my office. I was very surprised to see them all sitting in my office, I mean I talked to Jas two days ago and she did not say anything.

“Uh, good morning everyone, it’s been a minute what can I help you with,” I say taking a seat

“We came to talk to you about something,” Kiana said sounding very serious.
“Okay then, first things first Jas darling you are glowing mama,” I complimented because she looked really stunning.
