IF VERA LOST her powers, she would have still passed out in the Fold. Everything would have changed after she woke up and realized that she couldn't summon anymore. She would've run to Nina first since that was the first Grisha she ran into after waking up.
They never figured out why she lost her powers, but Nina would have guessed it was a consequence of the merzost.
Nikolai would have offered her the role of General to the Second Army like usual, but she would have denied it, not feeling like she was worthy of it because she couldn't summon.
Since she denied the role, she wouldn't have stayed in Ravka. To her she felt like she wouldn't fit in, so, she followed Kaz and the rest of the Crows (besides Inej) back to Ketterdam. Their almost confession wouldn't happen because they weren't separating.
That's why it took years. After years and years of working on Kaz's trauma and the two breaking down each other's walls they would finally get "together." (It's quoted because I don't feel like they would've ever gotten officially together. I think they would've just known that they belonged to each other and others understood it well).
I don't think they would have ever had a child of their own unless they adopted. However, they did eventually reach a more domestic life.
In confusion, in this ending Vera and Kaz would have been happy in the long run.

I didnt have the energy to write it out, but this is the other ending I was deciding upon.
More so the "good" ending to their romance but I don't usually like the trope where the mc loses her powers and lives a simple life (even though Vera's life would be anything but simple)
