Jane's eyes flicked open. Her head felt like an elephant was doing the macarena on it and her mouth tasted like ass. As an executive decision she decided not to move too much. If her body felt anything like her head then she didn't want to know right now.

Careful not to move her head, Jane looked around. She was lying on a bed in the infirmary and light was beaming in through the windows. So either it was the same day or... she had no idea.

Before she was left to go completely insane, Madame Pomfrey bustled into the room.

"Oh good, your awake." She rushed over, waving her wand over Jane. "You were only out for a few hours dear and the Headmistress has already contacted your guardian. He should be here soon," she said as she busied herself fluffing Janes pillow.

Jane was just relieved when the motion didn't send a wave of pain threw her. "So, what's the damage Madame Pomfrey?"

"Cuts, a concussion, and a few bruised ribs. Nothings broken but you were suffering from near magical depletion. Nothing for it besides a few hours of rest," she hmphed. "The Headmistress wants to speak with you but I won't be having it until you are fully checked over."

Does a diagnostic spell and goes a tad pale. Made to take a pain relief potion and a potion to help her recover her magic, before she marches out.

Headmistress is brought in. "Miss Blackwell, do you mind explaining what happened to the classroom and yourself. I have one student missing, another in the infirmary with traces of having unforgivable cast on her and a teacher has vanished, I would like answers."

"I was told Professor Bishop wanted to talk to me. When I got there no one was there. Then I was thrown into that other room and Max was there. She started attacking me, demanding to know where it was so she could bring it to someone, some women, but I don't know what she was talking about. She said she had searched the whole school. Then there was an explosion and I woke up here."

McGonagall nodded her head. "It seems to be as we suspected. It seems Max began working with Professor Brindlemore to find something hidden within the castle." Shocked face. "It seems that they were responsible for the packages and the attack on Madame Pince. We will report this to the Aurors. You were found in the classroom across from the History class. The room was destroyed and you were found with severe bleeding and a concussion by Mr. O'King. He heard the explosion," she said clearing her throat. "Your guardian should be here shortly. There is something we should discuss. Apparently Miss Weasley was involved somehow."

Jane raised her eyebrows. Wow, she hadn't thought the girl was suicidal. "What did she do?"

"Apparently she was aware of what was going on. Max approach her to learn more about you. Supposedly Max went to Roxanne and told her she believed in her werewolf story and that she wanted to 'prove it' as revenge in her honor. It seems Max was planning to frame Roxanne after the scene she made earlier but Roxanne felt the need to gloat to others in her common room and she was reported."

"So what's happening now?"

"The Aurors will look for the two. From what we can tell, Max used two Unforgivable curses on you. That is grounds for a sentence to Azkaban. Brindlemore will be wanted for questioning. Miss Weasley is another matter."

"What's going to happen to her?"

"I have been in contact with her parents and they have agreed to move up to three times a week. It's not worse only because someone was trying to take advantage of her delicate mental state."

Jane nodded.

The next few days moved fast. Her Uncle had fussed a bit but she had reassured him she was fine and that they would talk more in the summer. She was released from the infirmary a day later when her magical levels were considered stable. Her friends had been both ecstatic or as ecstatic as a bunch of Slytherins would be. The rest of their tests flew past.
