February 5th, 2022 - Seoul - Jeongguk's residence

The next morning Jeongguk woke up not very tired but not well rested either. He did manage to catch some sleep in the wee hours of the morning, his night spent mostly in trying to find a comfortable position.

Freshening up and getting ready for that day, he stepped out of his room to be greeted by the Namjin couple already dressed and ready at the breakfast nook, making small talk with his cook.

Joining them and thanking Hansol who was quick to place his own breakfast in front of him, he wished the couple.

"Good morning love birds.. Did you guys sleep well?"

"Yes, we did, Jeongguk. Thank you so much for letting us stay." Namjoon spoke up first and Jeongguk noticed how composed he looked as opposed to his hassled self last night.

"Yes, thank you, Jeonggukie. I don't think we would've made it home last night to be honest." Jin added.

"I realized. That's why I asked you guys to stay. But you're up pretty early? I thought you guys would sleep in a bit considering last night was quite entertaining for you both." Jeongguk smiled slyly at the two embarrassed men scratching their necks.

"Sorry, we got carried away last night." Namjoon apologized and Jin nodded in agreement.

"No, no. It's cool. I had a really good time, it was fun." Jeongguk reassured them.

"Anyway, we'll take your leave. We have to be at the coffee shop. Can't leave it to the staff for too long! See you later, Jeongguk. Take care.."

"Yeah, take care.. See you soon. Try to come to the cafe sometime, Jeongguk."

The couple got up quickly and said their goodbyes. Promising to visit the cafe soon, Jeongguk walked them to the door.

Once they left, Jeongguk went back to his breakfast and had to literally push himself to finish it. The slight worry at the back of his mind was turning into a full blown panic.

He knew it was too early for the letter to be here even if Taehyung had written to him right away. It would be another hour at least before he could even hope to have something. He had informed the security to let him know as soon as he gets any mail so he knew that he'd get the call if the letter was delivered.

But as time moved slower than a snail's pace, he kept wondering what he would do if Taehyung was really upset. It's not like he regretted sending the heater. He would compromise anything so that Taehyung would not be cold. He thought of different scenarios where he would try to convince Taehyung but then finally decided that he would send as many apology letters as needed to Taehyung until he is forced to send in a reply even if it is to tell Jeongguk to stop.

With that he finished his breakfast and then tried to think of ways to kill time. He had the morning free as his dialysis was scheduled in the afternoon that sent another feeling of dread through him. If Taehyung's letter doesn't show up, he knows he's going to struggle in the session.

To feel a little better and also keep his mind occupied, before he snapped and did something stupid like visit Taehyung's apartment, he called his dads. Nothing like a little parental affection to settle the nerves.

*******

It was a good decision to call his dads because Jeongguk didn't realize it was noon. Only when he heard the intercom ring did he check the time. Rushing to answer the phone with bated breath, he spoke to the caller in hushed tones and monosyllables.
