CHAPTER XXIX

July 14th, 2022 - Seoul - Yoonmin residence

Taehyung was debating in his mind since he had arrived and Jimin had soon noticed that his best friend was not all present when he was talking about the guest list and seating plans!

He was happy for his friend now that Taehyung had met Jeongguk and all was going well with the two... but if he was going to be in his dreamland when Jimin was talking about important stuff, he would have to put his foot down.

"Okay, I know Jeongguk is all dreamy and awesome and all that but I'm not okay that you're dreaming about him since the whole time you got here!" Jimin's whiny voice got Taehyung out of his thoughts.

He cleared his throat and shook his head.

"No, Jiminie... I'm not dreaming of him and I am listening okay!"

"Is it?" Jimin flicked his hair from his face and raised an eyebrow. "Then where is Aunt Minah sitting? Shall we place her next to Uncle Chul?"

"Uh.. um. Yeah sure! That... t-that would be nice I think!"

Taehyung tried to answer. His head was starting to ache. Honestly why is this such a big deal is something he doesn't understand. Let people sit wherever they want, how does it matter? But Jimin just had to control every tiny aspect about everything and Taehyung wanted to be supportive.

"NO!" The said man yelled, making Taehyung jump.

"Uncle Chul is dead, Taetae. You know this! You attended his funeral with me..."

Oh...Right...

Jimin was shaking his head and was frowning at him so Taehyung caved.

"I'm sorry, Chimmy.. I just.. I have a lot on my mind okay.. And I came here to talk to you about something very important. Then Yoongi Hyung grilled me for an hour about Jeongguk acting frisky with me which, by the way, he isn't! When he left for work I thought, finally I can talk to you...but you started with all these lists and charts and tables and now my head is about to burst!"

Taehyung huffed as he finished in one breath.

Jimin's mouth was open at that outburst and he quickly closed all the books and charts that were open and cleared the table. Handing Taehyung a strawberry milk from the fridge, he settled next to him.

"I'm sorry, honey. I was so preoccupied with all this that I didn't notice. What is troubling you? Is it Jeongguk?" Jimin enquired worriedly.

"No.. Jeongguk is fine.. More than fine, it's so great with him, Chimmy. He makes me feel all these feelings that my heart is fluttering the whole time I'm with him!"

Jimin smiled warmly at that. He relaxed a bit knowing that his best friend was happy. He wanted nothing else for him!

"That's great, Taetae... I'm so happy for you! When will you meet him next?"

Taehyung nodded and continued, "That's what I was going to talk about... Look, what I'm going to say is very, very hard for me. I have never done it before and so... I know I can come to you with absolutely anything and if it was anybody else, I would not have even thought about this!"

Taehyung had been thinking about this since last Saturday when he had spoken to Jeongguk but the last 5 days had been super busy for him. He had taken extra projects from both his firms to make some extra cash and he honestly had no time to do anything else, let alone step out of the house.
