Enveloped with Love! (Taekook)

CHAPTER XXXIII

July 16th, 2022 - Seoul - Jeongguk's residence

"I want to paint you..." 

Taehyung looked at him blankly for a second and then giggled.

"Haven't you already?" He asked, raising one eyebrow and crossing his arms on his chest.

"Yes, I have... But that's from memory. I want to paint you as you are... and more importantly, with permission!"

Taehyung heartily laughed at that.

"So... what do you say? May I watch you and imprint all that I see when I look at you on my canvas?"

Jeongguk stared at Taehyung with heart eyes that had the older man shying away.

Clearing his throat and failing to control his smile or blush, Taehyung croaked out a soft yes...

Smiling happily and pecking his lips quickly, Jeongguk stood up.

"Wait here.. When I call for you, come upstairs to the first door to the right okay."

Uncertain with where this is going, Taehyung nodded regardless.

Jeongguk quickly limped to the kitchen that had the older chuckling, he watched him signal Hansol to follow him upstairs.

He didn't have to wait for long, maybe 10 minutes at max in which he scrolled through his social media, and soon Jeongguk was calling for him.

Taking two steps at a time, Taehyung entered the open door to the right and spotted Jeongguk waiting for him with his huge bunny smile on display.

The room was large and well-lit thanks to the ceiling to floor windows. Art supplies of all kinds were placed on the massive table in the corner and the rest of the space was filled with paintings which he couldn't see since they were all covered.

Right in the middle of the room, a blanket and a few pillows were placed, surrounded by books. Tons of them were scattered around the pillows and Jeongguk guided him to settle in the middle.

He spotted the new blank canvas parked on the easel with brushes and paints next to it.

Once he sat down, he watched Jeongguk search for something in the pile of books and taking one out, he handed it to Taehyung who looked at him puzzled.

"I want to paint you in your most natural, most relaxed state... So I want you to read this. Also, it's going to take hours so you won't be bored just sitting!" He smiled cutely at Taehyung.

"The Kite Runner?" Taehyung read the title of the book out loud.

"Yes... It's a great book. One of my personal favorites! I think you'll enjoy it." Jeongguk told him as he started setting up his brushes and other things.

Taehyung gulped a little nervously. Jeongguk wanted him to read but he couldn't read without his glasses. He was shy about wearing them... He always thought he looked funny with them on, and being teased 'Four Eyes' all through high school had just made him conscious about it.

Why didn't I wear my contacts?

He opened the book slowly and the blurry words danced around his vision.

Oh Lord, why??

To distract Jeongguk from noticing him, he looked around the room to think of something.

"Can I see all these paintings?"

Jeongguk stilled in his work of mixing paint and nervously licked his dry lips.
