July 16th, 2022 - Seoul - Jeongguk's residence

Taehyung woke up warm and well rested as never before. When the mellow rays of the sun fell on his face, he opened his eyes to stare at a mop of raven hair tickling the base of his chin.

Jeongguk's head was still resting on his chest while his arms cocooned the younger's body protectively just like they had drifted off to sleep the night before. A wide smile formed on his face and he snuggled his face into Jeongguk's hair, sniffing the soothing scent of his shampoo that reminded Taehyung of the ocean.

Remembering the events of the last night, Taehyung placed soft kisses on Jeongguk's temple while he was still fast asleep. He turned his head up by nudging his chin and placed a few more kisses on his nose, but the younger continued to doze.

Frowning at that, he turned around to check the time. It was past 10 in the morning.. Maybe Jeongguk was a late riser and in any case, last night was probably tiring for him.

Shuffling and ensuring Jeongguk was comfortable in bed, Taehyung got out and headed to the bathroom. Going through the cabinet, he found a new toothbrush and he freshened up quickly after that.

Once he got out, Jeongguk had still not moved from his position and a slight worry made home at the back of Taehyung's mind but he pushed it away. Maybe this was normal for the younger.

Donning his shirt and jeans from last night, Taehyung made his way out of the room. Thinking that he could make some breakfast for the boy, he headed to the kitchen and was surprised to find it occupied.

He saw the petit man working in the kitchen, still unaware of his presence and so he cleared his throat to get his attention.

Turning around, the boy was startled for a second before he quickly recovered.

Bowing to him in respect, Taehyung introduced himself.

"Hello.. Um.. I'm Kim Taehyung.. Jeongguk's...uh friend." He finished lamely. He wasn't sure what he was to the younger since they hadn't discussed any labels. Not wanting to overstep with what looked like his cook, Taehyung stayed with 'friend'.

"Good morning, Mr. Kim. I'm Cha Hansol, I'm Mr. Jeon's cook. Breakfast is ready. Would you like to start or wait for Mr. Jeon?" Hansol asked him politely.

Blinking a little at the extra professional attitude of the cook, Taehyung debated on his answer.

"Um, actually... Mr. Jeon had a tiring night and is resting. I'm sure he'll have something once he's up."

Hansol controlled the smile that was threatening to come on his face but Taehyung caught it regardless. Clearing his throat, he sat on a chair at the breakfast nook and Hansol served him a portion.

Wondering what to do to pass time, Taehyung finished his breakfast as he scrolled through his phone. He first thought of calling Jimin, but then decided against it. First, it is not a conversation to be had in front of Jeongguk's cook and another lady cleaning the living room that he just noticed.

Wow, how many house staff does Jeongguk have?

And second, Jimin would flip out if he talked about his nightly activities on the phone. It called for a get together with wine and chocolates because he was sure Jimin would grill him for every tiny detail.

Thanking the cook for the delicious breakfast, he went back to the room to check up on Jeongguk who was still in the land of dreams. He fixed the blankets properly and shut the curtains well so that no sunlight came in anymore. If Jeongguk needed rest, that's fine.
