July 15th, 2022 - Seoul - Taehyung's residence

Taehyung woke up to the soft pitter patter of raindrops on his window. The sound was so comforting that it was lulling him back to sleep again but noticing that the sun was literally up in the sky, which meant it was already afternoon, he pushed himself to wake up.

He tried to sit up in bed but a blinding headache made him fall back in it groaning. Catching it in his hands to try to relieve some pain, he tried to recall how he came to be this way.

Oh right.. The club.. Drinking... dancing... Jeongguk...

Shit, Jeongguk!

Groaning at what all must have happened, Taehyung racked his brains to make some sense of the random glimpses he was recalling from the night before. God, what had he done? Did he embarrass himself in front of Jeongguk...?

Oh my God.. Why did I drink so much?

What had started as a harmless helping hand with the drink had soon escalated and one drink had turned to... 3? 4? He wasn't sure... And then the thought of the bill had him whining again!

Apart from that he had a strong feeling that he was forgetting something very important but for the life of him, he could not remember what! The more he tried to force himself to piece last night together, the more his head hurt.

Drinking some water that was on the bedside table, he searched for his phone. Finding it in the sheets, he quickly turned it on. Smiling at the notification, he opened the message.

Good morning, my sunshine...

I'm assuming you have a horrible hangover, so please take a rest!

Do make sure to eat something or the nausea would be worse, a little lemon water would also help...

Laughing at the text, Taehyung dialed the number. Waiting for him to pick up which took a little time, Taehyung finally heard his favorite voice.

"Tae?"

"Hey Gukkie..." Taehyung settled in the sheets again, sighing at the voice that always made him feel warm.

"How are you feeling? Did you just wake up?" Jeongguk asked.

"Yeah.. I have a bad hangover, my head is so heavy!!" He whined, making Jeongguk chuckle.

"Hmmm... Not surprising since you had a wild time last night!"

Taehyung winced at the comment... What did he do exactly?

"Listen Gukkie, about that... What happened last night? I.. just can't remember much, it's all messed up!"

Jeongguk was silent for so long that Taehyung pulled his phone away to check if the call was still on.

"Uh.. Nothing... Um, you just had a lot of fun. We both did! You had a lot to drink and I watched you have fun..."

"Really? That's all?" Taehyung asked. It felt like Jeongguk was leaving something out.
