Three days after the events, Alastor returned to his station to resume his radio program dedicated to give notice of some news that could be considered important and then play the list of songs that were more than welcome by the public and finally, the same speech about how recommendable the Hazbin Hotel was for those souls seeking redemption and avoid another extermination, leaving the phone numbers and other information so that they could contact them before ending the transmission.
He breathed in deeply, feeling as good as new after that day's transmission. He even thought about staying a few more minutes in his tower to check the pile of papers he had at his side and why not? Relax a little in his own environment.
However...
"Husk, the feeding bottle!"
"But it's still warm!"
"It's been more than five minutes already!"
"So what about that?!"
"Clauneck is hungry right now!"
"But... !"
"Enough screaming! Just give him the damn feeding bottle at once!"
A few seconds of silence later.
"I think that was a bad idea .... "
"I told them!"
Alastor sighed, resting his chin on the palm of his right hand as he squinted his eyes. Given the context of the screams, he could imagine the situation without even being part of it: Clauneck had surely burst into tears, Angel and Husk panicked, Angel tried to rock him while the other set about preparing a bottle at the right temperature but that didn't come out as expected as he didn't realize the fire had been higher than he thought to place it, Clauneck continued with his crying, the other two began to argue about it, Vaggie got into the fuss and, as icing on the cake, she had given the feeding bottle to the child without realizing the temperature and now she must have been bathed in vomit.
And to finish confirming his suspicions....
"I think you'll need a bath!" That was the laughing voice of Niffty who seemed very happy with the idea of continuing with the intensive grooming "Wait! More bugs got in! I'll be right back!" more maniacal laughter.
"Hey Niffty don't get into the ducts again!"
"... It's too late already"
In other circumstances he would surely have rolled over in laughter of pure and genuine mockery at such misfortunes but the unstoppable crying of the creature did nothing but produce in him a feeling of annoyance that he knew would end up with the papers on his desk torn to shreds by its own claws.
So, reluctantly, she got up from her seat, but not before making sure that all the electronic devices were turned off and then headed steadily downstairs, where the chaos continued but at least the crying had lessened due to the sound of bells that Husk was making while Angel whispered sweet words towards the bundle of pumpkin-patterned blankets that had been a gift from Charlie.
"Do they need help?" He asked politely as he finished descending the missing steps.
Almost in an act of defensiveness, Angel and Husk pulled the creature closer towards them while watching him with grimaces that could only be described as terribly ridiculous and childish.
"No! We can with this!"
"That's right!" seconded the spider demon with a pout on his lips "I had a younger sister so I know how this sort of thing should be handled. You might even say that I'm an expert on the subject.... "
