Luca's POV

I walk towards the pack house, and I try to decide how to convince Denver to let me see Parker.

My cousin and I were very close, before he started to do some messed up things to the people who are like me.

To the people who are weak.

But that doesn't change the fact that he never treated me badly, and we were pretty close, before Denver and the people who are a part of his court decided that Parker should be locked away.

That was years ago, and I thought that they will let him go after a few weeks, but it seems that they don't plan to do that for now.

I accepted the fact that I won't be able to see Parker, and I tried to stay away from him at the family nights, but I regret doing that.

After all he was one of my closest friends, and I don't have anyone other than him to talk to about something important.

"What do you want?" Denver asked me when I walk into his office without knocking.

I know that I should have knocked, since he's an Alpha, and this is his office.

But I know that it will be easier to talk to him while he will be annoyed, as long as I won't annoy him too much.

"I have to ask you about something." I say and he nods, silently telling me to say whatever I want to say.

He looks bored already, but I can't blame him, since I tend to come here when I'm bored, and he already got tired of that, although thankfully he decides to not complain.

I'm one of not many people who would help him with his paperwork without whining, and he needs help with that quite often.

"Can I talk with Parker?" I ask him, and he shakes his head almost instantly.

"You can talk with him when we will have a family night." He tells me.

"But I have to talk to him about something important." I say.

"I don't care, Parker is too dangerous for you to stay with him alone, and I guess that you wouldn't be alright with the guards being there.

"He won't hurt me." I say angrily, but Denver just rolls his eyes, and he points towards the door, hoping that I will just leave.

"I'm going to talk to Parker." I say.

"That's great." He tells me, already knowing that I won't be able to do that, since Parker is locked somewhere and I'm not even sure where.

I decide to check the cellars, but before I can reach the door that leads to the basement, I decide that it's not a good idea.

I walk around the pack house, before I find a guard who looks nice enough.

"Hey. I was wondering if you know where Parker is." I ask the man who's looking at me with a frown.

"He's locked in one of the apartments." He tells me, and I'm thankful that he decided to not ask me for a reason why I'm asking him about this.

"Do you know the number?" I ask him, and he shakes his head, so I decide to not bother him anymore.

I look at the stairs, and then I sigh in annoyance, before I leave the pack house.

There are a lot of apartments here, because everyone from this pack lives in the pack house, so finding Parker will take all day, which means that I can't do it now.
