When it was Halloween or any holiday really, there was a certain kind of buzz to Hawkins high. Everyone was excited and couldn't stop talking about their plans for the night. Judy hadn't seen Steve or Nancy at all today and didn't really have anyone else she could talk to, not that she had a lot to say. So, sitting in class just before the end of day bell rand, she sat and watched the other students talk.

She could get so lost in other people's conversations that she'd have no idea there was something else going on - no idea that a lone pencil was pushing her long hair that fell across her back, back and forth. That was until a pencil poked her, right in the spin.

The small pinch caused Judy to break out of her laser focus and turn around to face the person who decided stabbing her was a good idea. When she turned she was heavily disappointed.

It was Billy Hargrove, the boy in the denim with a mullet. He leaned over his desk right up to Judy's back, pencil in hand and terrifying grin on his lips. Judy hadn't even thought about the guy since yesterday morning, much less notice he had a class with her. Looking at him now she was a little surprised she didn't feel his haunting aura from behind her.

"Hi, sweet cheeks." Billy said, reminding Judy of his God awful nature. She only rolled her eyes in response, turning back around to face the front of the class.

"Hey," Billy said a bit louder than before, poking her with his pencil repeatedly. "I just wanted to ask you something."

Against her better judgment, Judy did turn back around, looking at him with an unamused face. He still smiled at her like he'd won something.

"Are you going to this party tonight?" He asked, sliding an orange paper across his desk. It was the flier that Tina had passed out around the school. Judy slipped it back across the desk, with a "Nope."

Some guy next to Billy says, "Dude, watch out." Both Judy and Billy look over at him. Waiting... "She's the Chief's daughter."

Billy scoffed at him, almost to Judy's surprise. "Did I ask you fishlips?"

The guy at the next desk immediately backed off, dropping his teasing gaze towards Judy. Judy didn't look back at Billy until he said, "I hope to see you and your nice ass there, sweet cheeks."

Just then the last bell of the day rang, prompting Judy to hurry and get out of the school. Not without replying in proper fashion. "Don't count on it, ass wipe."

Walking out of the school, Judy searched high and low for any friend that she may have known. Steve was the one she saw. He leaned against the back of his car, messing with the zipper on his jacket. Judy sighed in relief as she walked up to him.
