Walking into the funeral home, both Judy and Nancy were hesitant. They hadn't even worked out what they would say. Jonathan was here to figure out his baby brother's funeral, and they were here to ask about unknown creature-esque things in the background of one of his photographs. The whole situation had been strange from the start, but to be here now - it brought a heavy weight on the girls shoulders.

The more the girls stepped forward, the louder two voices got, one of them noticeably being Jonathan's. But Judy paused briefly, holding onto the inside of her letterman jacket, tightly. Turning to look at Nancy, she pursed her lips and furrowed her brow, "Maybe you should wait out here. Just not to freak him out too much."

Judy had sure reasoning to say this, of course. Nancy and Jonathan had never really talked before, and their last interaction in the school parking lot wasn't exactly welcoming for speaking again in a funeral home. Nancy had to have understood that without a word having to be spoken. She stepped back slowly before saying, "Yeah, you're probably right."

Judy peaked into the room of voices before seeing Jonathan, who hastily met eyes with her. He was quick to dismiss himself with the gentleman in the suit. As much as he was confused about why Judy Hopper was there, he was relieved to not talk about casket options for his brother.

"Hey," he said first, shoving his hands in his jean pockets.

"Hey. Your mom, um... she said you would be here," Judy stammered, while trying to script how she would bring up what her and Nancy found. "Can we talk for a second?"

"Yeah," he said, just above a whisper. Walking out into the hallway again, Jonathan noticed Nancy, sitting on a bench a few steps away. Seeing Jonathan, she stood up abruptly. Neither one said anything until Nancy handed him the photo in her bag. Jonathan looked at it, confused, then at Nancy.

"Did you see anything strange that night? Anything like that?" Nancy said, while pointing at the figure behind Barb.

"It looks like it could be some kind of perspective distortion, but I wasn't using the wide angle. I don't know. It's weird." Jonathan shook his head, being cautious about what he said.

"You're sure you didn't see anyone else out there?" Judy said, hoping that coming to Jonathan would get them somewhere.

"No. And Barb was there one second and then, um... gone. I figured she bolted."

"The cops think that she ran away. But they don't know Barb. And I went back to Steve's and I thought I saw something. Some weird man or... I don't know what it was." As Jonathan handed back the photo, Nancy looked the most defeated that Judy had ever seen her. She was just as hopeful as anyone. "I'm sorry. We shouldn't have come here today. I'm so sorry."

Judy stood by Nancy as she worked through her disappointment. The two were just about to push through the doors, before - "What'd he look like?"

Nancy turned back towards Jonathan, "What?"
