Judy was taken aback by the number of people in the War Zone parking lot.

She didn't quite know what to expect. She knew that the hunting store on Main hadn't been able to come back from its closure after the mall had opened up, so the fact that they had business wasn't too shocking. What surprised her was that it looked like every single person that lived in Hawkins was currently inside the store.

It looked like an actual war zone.

"So much for avoiding angry hicks," Erica said sarcastically as she walked into the store behind Nancy, Steve and Judy. The Hellfire members, Dustin, Lucas and Eddie, stayed back in the RV with Max as the others went inside.

Judy only nodded in agreement before ordering, "Let's just hurry and get out of here."

And with that, the four dispersed to separate ends of the store, each finding something useful to defend themselves against Vecna.

Judy wanted a gun. Over the years, well, ever since the first demogorgon attack, guns had started to feel more familiar. They were no longer too heavy for her to carry and the noise didn't ring in her ears. Sometimes, Judy would hold the silver pistol her father left behind, wearing his police badge and pretending to be him. Walking around her small room, she darts behind imaginary walls and speaks to imaginary perpetrators in a mock deep voice.

She liked her fathers pistol, but that wouldn't do the job.

Judy swept through the crowd of hysteric customers over to the gun display, looking through the top of the glass counter. Once the clerk finally showed up they went over a few options and prices, before Judy decided on a 12 gauge shotgun, with a significant weight to it.

"You're nineteen, right?" He asked, squinting, as she held up the gun to her shoulder, finding if it was a right fit.

"Yep," Judy lied perfectly.

"Alrighty, that'll be 300."

Judy had just slid over the last of her money as she looked over, finding Jason leaned over the gun case, holding onto a shiny revolver. She didn't look for long as she tried to hide her face behind her hair.

"That's a mighty big gun, Judy Hopper."

She tensed slightly, and her jaw instinctively clenched tight as she turned slightly to face him. "Thank," she whispered under her breath. "I can handle it."

"I didn't expect to find you in a place like this," he chuckled, sliding across the glass, coming closer to Judy.

"I should say the same about you." Judy stepped to the side a bit, focusing on reaching the exit with her new gun clutched in her tight grasp.

"You wouldn't happen to know where Eddie is right now, would you?"
"No, I don't," she answered simply.

He didn't believe her in the slightest as he stepped even closer, "I find that hard to believe. Your little friend... Dustin, right?" Jason's eyes narrowed. "He's friends with Eddie, right? So he probably knows where Eddie is... and that means you do too. Since you live together and all."
