It had been six months now since the failed extermination, and in turn, six months since the Hazbin Hotel had been destroyed, and then rebuilt. Word had gotten around about the hotel, and how its staff and guests had stopped an extermination for the first time ever, and more guests had been checking in. The hotel had even had its first successful redemption; a magpie sinner named Mandy, who had checked in in the hopes of going to Heaven to be with her mother. It had happened one evening after she'd had one of her therapy sessions; the sky had opened, and a friendly-looking magpie winner had come down to collect Mandy. Mandy had shed tears of joy as she was carried up to Heaven in her mother's arms, and Charlie had been a sobbing wreck at the sight of Heaven accepting a sinner. The joyous moment hadn't lasted long, however, because a day later, some pig sinners armed with angelic guns had showed up to attack the hotel. They were a gang of wannabe overlords, and they wanted to kill Alastor in the hopes that doing so would make the Vs acknowledge them, so naturally he'd volunteered to kill them, if only to protect the hotel. Even with angelic guns, they were no match for Alastor, and the radio demon had eaten them all in one bite as though they were cocktail sausages.

"Ah, what a delightful little treat that was! I've missed getting to blow off steam!" he said as he returned to his standard sinner form, his shadow vanishing as he came back inside the hotel.

"And best of all, nothing got broken this time! Everything's fine, and everything's clean!" Niffty chirped as she dusted the window panes.

"Indeed it is, my dear," Alastor said as he sat back in the armchair with the book he had reading before the attack, "Now, Charlie, as you were saying before we were so rudely interrupted?"

"I was just about to remind everyone that the Hazbin Hotel's first ever formal is tonight," she responded, looking around the parlor at her other staff members, and some of her guests, "Everyone worked so hard on rebuilding the hotel after the extermination, and we even redeemed our first soul yesterday, so I think we all deserve a work-free night of fun!"

"Everyone's invited, and feel free to bring a date. Charlie and I already have our dates covered," Vaggie added, winking at the princess.

Cherri Bomb knocked back the last of the Malibu and coke she was drinking. "Don't think I'll be bringing a date. There's no one here I'm interested in anymore," she sighed as she looked at the memorial to Sir Pentious. A picture of the snake sinner in his general uniform hung above the fireplace, along with some pictures of the fallen egg bois on the mantelpiece.

Angel Dust jabbed her with one of his elbows. "Why are you so hung up over Pentious? It's not like you guys were together. You barely knew each other."

Charlie gave a sad sigh as she looked at the memorial to Sir Pentious. "Sometimes you don't realise that you want something, until the chance to have it gets taken away," she offered, "Right, Cherri?"

Cherri set her empty glass down on the bar, and Husk refilled it with more Malibu and coke. "Yeah...Right..."

Angel Dust put an arm around the cyclops demon. "If it makes ya feel better, I don't have a date either," he responded, sipping his screaming orgasm delicately.

Husk looked up from the bottle of Beelzejuice he'd just opened. "Really? I thought that all the cannibal pool boys you fucked yesterday at work would be double-dying for a date with you."

"Eh, cannibal pool boys are good in bed, but they're shit at dancing, so they're no good on fancy dates," the spider demon shrugged, swilling his drink around.

"I can vouch for that! Those silly boys don't know their left feet from their right on the dance floor!" Alastor added, laughing heartily along with the laugh track playing from his microphone.
