"....When I reached, he was crying and kept hitting his chest."

"But..." someone sobs, "He didn't had attacks like these in years."

"Something triggered him."

A pounding headache forms in my head hearing those voices.

I groan, placing my hand on my forehead which felt like hammering a nail at a consistent speed.

Cold hands touch my face and I flinch, trying to open my eyes.

"Mahib? My son. Open your eyes."

Opening my eyes gingerly, I find my whole family along with Eman and Zayed hovering over me.

I frown, looking at them trying to make sense of the situation.

"What..?" I clear my throat, my eyes feeling like it holds ten kilos of baggage. "What are you all doing?"

"How are you feeling now?" Mama asks, grabbing my arm as I sit up on the bed.

I massage my temples. "Headache." I groan.

"You scared us, Mahib." Mama whispers, her eyes filling with tears.

"What happened?" I look at them in confusion, "I don't remember anything."

More tears fall down my mother's eyes and my Baba squeezes her shoulder.

"You don't remember..how?" Baba starts to ask but Baji stops him.

"He is stressed right now," She hands me a glass of water.

I take a sip of water. "I heard someone saying I was screaming what exactly happened?"

Baji looks at Mama nervously. "Uh..no.."

"I heard, Baji." I argue weakly, still massaging my temples.

I feel two hands prying my hands apart and then start massaging my head.

"You were passed out in your balcony." Saboor says slowly massaging my head. "We were so worried." Her voice breaks at the end.

"What..?" I whisper confused. "I passed out? When?"

"Boora..." Zayed sighs, he looks at me and gives me a reassuring smile. "A wildcat attacked you."

My eyebrows raise up in shock. "A...what?"

He looks at Baji and she nods looking at me. "Yes, he is right."

I look at the closed curtains covering the balcony and frown. "Our house has fencing all around, how come a cat could get in?"

"It did.." Baji nods. "It was very big, sitting on your chest, hitting you continuously and you kept screaming."

I blink. "I was beaten up by a cat?"

"You don't know Mahib...it was so dangerous, you can ask Eman, she had just returned with Zayed at that time." Baji points at Eman.
