Manar hasn't stopped crying since she found Noor's headband by the bushes with blotches of red on it.

My heart had fallen in a dark pit at the sight.

But I kept saying to Manar that maybe it's not what we think, maybe it's paint, maybe it's something else..something that isn't our innocent daughter's proof of hurt.

No. She is alright. She should be. She has to be alright.

I close my eyes painfully, my mind racing with million worst scenarios.

"What kind of mall does not have a security camera!" Zayed says angrily on his phone, pacing around the hall of the living room. "A one year old child has been found missing and you all say you don't have footage!"

Eman rubs Manar's shoulders who kept crying holding Noor's headband.

Eman looks at her phone. "Rahmi has looked all the venue, there is no footage, no evidence of kidnapping."

I hold my head in my hand's defeatedly. "Who could take Noor. What can a child could've...." I lift my head and look at Manar. "Manar where is your phone?"

She holds the headband near her eyes and shakes her head.

Saboor who silently stood by the couch grabs Manar's purse and takes out the phone.

I grab it from her and open the messages. My suspicions coming true when I see a new message just two minutes ago from an unknown number.

"Manar." My voice holds an unknown edge. "It's Jahangir."

Her head lifts up in a snap and she rushes to stand beside me, reading the message.

My daughter is finally with me, little bird.

With it was an attached video which I open with shaky fingers.

As soon as I open it, Manar's sobs fills around us as Noor's cries echo in the video, she was seated on a floor, her beautiful blue dress now dirty and tears roll down her face in succession.

Manar touches the screen as if she could feel her.

My heart tugs painfully as if someone had squeezed my soul out with bare hands.

Jahangir's face pops up in the camera. "Hello there my newly weds. Thought I should give you both some privacy and take my daughter away." His smiles drops. "If you want her back, I want you here, alone."

"I should've known." Manar sobs. "I should've known it's him, only he could harm my daughter."

I close her phone and give it to Zayed who immediately goes to find information about the video.

"Mahib, what now?" Eman asks sounding equally worried.

"I will go talk to him." I say, feeling a storm of fury rising inside me.
