"Stop it." Mahib grabs my hand, stopping me from rubbing my fingers together in a nervous habit. "You have nothing to be nervous about, my love."

He kisses my fingers, and then intwines our fingers together.

"I am nervous, Mahib." I say looking at the floor number rolling on the digital board of the elevator screen. "What if they judge me?"

"They won't." He assures me. "All of them were at the reception too, remember?"

That makes the knot in my stomach ease a little and then tighten again. "Yes but that was because I am your wife, but I have been working here before, I know there will be unwanted talks abmphm—"

He silences me with his lips on mine in a searing kiss. "Relax." He says, wiping the corner of my mouth. "No one will say anything to you."

I lick my lips and nod in a daze. Mahib chuckles, kissing my knuckles again.

It's been five weeks since we got married and it's been a blissful five weeks.

First time in nine years, I didn't had to worry about any single thing, with Mahib, I just had lean my head on his shoulder while he handled everything. It's the support, the care, I have always craved for.

We had spend first two weeks in the house, away from working and focusing on the time we got to spend together. His family has been so supportive it always brings a sense of peace and assurance whenever I see Noor with them, I trust all of them enough to leave Noor with them so me and Mahib could go on dinner dates.

Like he promised, Mahib took me and Noor on a two weeks vacation to Mauritius. First few days were rough because Noor got sick and we both had to take her to the doctor for check up to get meds.

We couldn't do the outdoor activities as we planned but we did enjoyed sitting at the pool at the back of our private resort house which Mahib had rented for the trip, drinking chilled juices, eating snacks while Mahib took pictures of me and Noor.

Although Mahib did said to me to take rest from office, he was still ready to work. Eman had put him on a ban and ordered him to take rest and enjoy this phase of his life without any work pressure.

So now, five weeks later, we both are returning back to work together, as a couple.

When the elevator door opens and we both walk out, ready to face the usual Monday chatter around the office, we both are taken aback by the empty office.

"Was there a holiday we didn't knew?" I ask Mahib.

He frowns and takes out his phone. "I don't think so, let me call—"
