You know that feeling you get when someone hates you without having to say anything?

That's what I am feeling currently as Sheherzad khan, Mahib's elder sister stares me from across the room.

I wipe the corner of my mouth, making sure I don't have any remnants of ice cream left on my mouth and get up from the couch.

"I should be leaving now."

"So early?" Mahib's father, retired major Hussain Khan insists, his eye colour resembled the same as Saboor.

"Stay a little longer, your daughter is enjoying with Taha and Taher." Mahib's mother insists with a wide smile.

I smile and look across the room, where Taha and Taher sat beside Zayed on the floor and played with her. Well Taher played. Taha merely kept looking at her as if he couldn't decipher the colour of her eyes.

I smile back at Major Hussain and his wife. "It's late."

He nods in understanding. "As you wish." He stands up along with his wife. "Do visit again."

Mahib's mother squeezes my hand. "It was a good day. And you can come here whenever you want. This house loves the sounds of a baby."

"You are very kind." I smile.

She smiles, tapping my cheek. "So are you."

Mahib who went in the kitchen to fetch some water, notices me standing up. "Are you leaving?"

I nod, grabbing my handbag. "It's getting late."

His face falls but he nods. "Alright. I will drop you."

I don't argue him because Eman already left earlier. She offered to send the driver back but I denied it. Maybe she knew Mahib won't leave me alone that's why she didn't insisted much.

He grabs the diaper bag from my hand and walks towards the garage door.

I bid farewell to Saboor who was a lively eighteen year old. She surprises me by hugging me. "It was good having you here. Do visit again, please." Her mouth twists. "Why do I sound like those quotes written on plastic bags?"

I chuckle. "You don't."

I walk towards Zayed to get Noor. Zayed stands up, dusting his hands. "Will you bring her to the office?"

I shrug. "Maybe until Mrs. Muqaddes returns."

"I hope she goes on a long holiday." He catches my expression and chuckles. "Or not."

Taha and Taher looks at Noor. "Can you bring her again?"

I smile. "I will try. Thank you for playing with Noor."

Taher's face had blotches of red and he hides behind Zayed's leg, "Your welcome."

Taha looks at Noor curiously. "Are her eyes real?"
