1 DECEMBER, 2006.

ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN.

It's first January.

A new decade.

People are out there celebrating a new decade, new life, a new resolution.

And I am here.

Still struck in my past.

Will my past still be my past if I am still struck in it?

Why couldn't I move forward?

I want to go back.

Back where everything was good.

I want to go back to him.

The door to my room opens forcefully and I flinch back, cowering in the shadows of my room.

My eldest brother stalks towards me and grabs my arm, making me stand forcefully.

"Raza bhai, stop. Please don't do this to her."

Tabrez Bhai walks behind him with a worried look on his face. He tries to stop Raza Bhai, but he pushes him back, making him fall down on my study table. It broke from its impact.

My eldest brother squeezes my arm painfully but I don't wince or show any sign of pain.

I hardly feel anything anymore.

"It's enough now. I can't tolerate this thing in my house anymore."

"You can't talk about her like that! She is our sister." Tabrez Bhai tries to pry him away from me as he starts dragging me out of my room.

"She is just an unfortunate being born in our family! If I had known what she will do, I would've killed her with my own hands!"

He throws me on a couch where an older man who looked similar to his age sat.

"Moulvi, here is the bride." He glares at me. "Manar Fareed."

Tabrez Bhai looks at me helplessly before leaving the room.

He left me alone in a room with an unknown, strange man.

The man kept staring at me. And I don't liked how he is staring.

And that day, I got married to Jabbar naffar.

My already ruined life turned upside from that day.

Everything
                         Is
                                      Over.
