"I love her so much, It physically pains me to imagine a life without her, I feel like I won't survive a single second, without her. I feel I am drowning and only she could save me, But here I am, drowning without her, and she'...

I look back, watching Mahib pat Noor's back soothingly as he sits down on the couch.
He runs his fingers on top of her head, making her snuggle on his chest.
Something constricts in my chest at that sight.
Noor never reacts well with strangers. It took her months to get her familiarise with Mrs. Muqaddes.
I guess we both mother and daughter feel safe in Mahib's presence.
"Salam, Manar."
Eman's voice pulls me out of my state, I walk towards her, where she sat on the wooden picnic table with a large umbrella covering the table.
"Walaikumaslam." I give her a smile, taking a seat beside her.
I look around the green garden which was blooming in the spring season. I look back at Eman. "This place is really beautiful, Masha'Allah."
Eman smiles, looking around. "Our safe place."
I nod looking at her and notice her new hairstyle. Since I've joined the office, I have seen Eman only in slick back buns with a claw clip. But now she had her hairs in a loose braid which draped over her shoulder.
"I like this hairstyle on you." I say.
Her hands go on her braid on instinct. "Really?"
I nod. "It makes you look like the nine years ago Eman."
When her brown eyes loose the lightness around them, I add. "But you are still the same. You are still Eman."
That makes her smile. "I am Eman."
I take out my laptop and place it on the table. "I have few doubts to clear."
Eman nods, "Sure."
We work for a while until I notice, Eman's eyes wandering off towards the backyard door, watching where Mahib sat on the couch with Noor.
"What is it?"
Her eyes snaps back at me. "Did something happened? After I left my office?"
I nod, a feeling of dread forming in my gut. "Did Mahib said something?"
Her eyes drift over the doors again. "He did." She looks back at me. "I am not opposed to the idea of him getting his memories back, but the process he is going through, the confusion, the pain, the unresolved feelings in him which he doesn't even knows buried in him, It must be frustrating him."
"He is associating things which happened in the past with present. Eman, that's....concerning." I bite my lip, raising my concern.
Eman nods. "I know, my mom was talking to his mom the other day and she said it would be a task explaining Mahib about the visions he gets which he oftens connects them as nightmares," She scoffs. "I told them hiding from about his amnesia is not good idea."
