It was a peaceful, boring day in Omashu, like always. The sun shone brightly down on the earth kingdom, creating grand shadows and subtle dew on small leaves.

Iskra walked heavily along the streets, desperate for food and something exciting to make her feel alive again.

Living in Omashu for the past 5 years has had its ups and down, nothing really happened. Sometimes she would earth bend on top of the wall and watch the guards turn away people trying to get into Omashu, it wasn't very exciting.

However, years ago she stood in those people's position, begging on her hands and knees for acceptance into Omashu. After 4 consistent weeks Iskra was allowed in, she doesn't like to talk about why it took her so long to be allowed in.

With a soft smile on her face Iskra approached a cabbage stand; she remembered seeing the owner trying to get in the city previously.

"Hello dear, would you like some cabbages?" He offered her a genuine smile, his eyes wrinkling as his cheeks widened.

She nods kindly, searching through the cabbages for the best one. Checking her surroundings without looking, feeling the close guards weight on the ground made Iskra wonder whether it's the best idea to steal a cabbage now.

Deciding this isn't the right time she steps back, waving bye to the man and walking away disappointed.

A sudden loud crash thumps at her ears, making her skin crawl in a heavy flashback as she quickly turns around.

"My cabbages!" The man screams.

Two boys and a girl laid on top of each other, groaning as they rubbed their heads from the rough impact. One of them was dressed in a way that made Iskra's eyes widen in excitement. He was dressed like a monk.

The other two were in water tribe outfits, dressed head to toe in blue with dark skin and light brown hair. They looked very alike.

"You're going to pay for this!" He yelled.

Omashu guards began surrounding the three as a small animal flew down towards them.

This is what Iskra had been waiting for, this is what she had been wishing for! Boredom took over her body as she ran towards them.

"Two cabbages please?" The monk smiled goofily, attempting to defuse the situation.

She jumped between them and the guards, finding her footing and raising her fists, the grounds raising with them; creating a wall of protection around them.

Iskra then shifted her left foot back and dropped her hands to the ground, making a tunnel for them to drop into.

With a motion of her hands the three she saved jumped into the tunnel, trusting the stranger they just met.

Continuing to earth bend the tunnel deeper whilst blocking the entrance so the guards couldn't follow them was difficult, but she managed and they made it out.

Iskra boosted them up by rock and they landed outside, a couple streets away from where they just were.

"Thank you," The monk puffed breathlessly, shocked by the sudden rescue which made Iskra smile.
