The sun shone greatly, gripping everyone with sweat no matter where they where. No shade could help them escape the heat.

Iskra sat on her knees, fingers tracing over the dirt as she began to practise her lavabending. It was realised she never really used it. Lavabending is incredibly powerful, she just needed to work on it.

Aang cut through the air with his flames, following Zukos relentless teachings with no breaks. The others sat under cover near by, watching quietly.

"More ferocious!" Zuko yelled. "Imagine striking through your opponents heart!"

"I'm trying," Aang groans.

"Now let me hear you roar like a tiger-dillo!"

Aang took his stance, extending his arms as he breathed out minimal fire. He smiled awkwardly, trying to ease the tension.

"That sounded pathetic," Zuko rolled his eyes. "I said roar!"

Aang planted his feet again, circling his body before roaring as flames erupted from his mouth and hands dangerously. Zuko nodded.

Iskra tried to control the heat coming from Aangs flames, drawing it back to her as she focused on her lavabending. But nothing was happening.

"Who wants a nice cool glass of watermelon juice?" Katara asked.

"Ooh, ooh, me, me, me!" Aang cheered, running towards her.

"Hey," Zuko grabbed the back of his shirt, stopping him from leaving. "Your lessons not over yet!"

"Come on Zuko, just take a break," Suki suggested. "What's the big deal.

"Fine," He let go of Aang. "If you wanna lounge around like a bunch of snails sloths all day, then go ahead!"

Zuko scoffed, rolling his eyes before they softened when landing on Iskra. He walked towards her, peering over her slumped shoulders as she groaned.

"Stupid lavabending, who even made it a thing?" She mumbled to herself.

"You'll get it soon," he smiled.

Iskra let out a soft gasp, craning her head back as she smiled at Zuko. Their gaze connected and he tilted his head slightly with a smirk. She quickly looked away, trying to hide the blush on her cheeks.

"You scared me," She chuckled, retuning to her practise.

He leaned forward, casting a shadow over her that she tried to ignore.

Her hands flattened against the ground, feeling the earth under her fingertips. Heat rose from her heart, flooding through her veins to the ground. Slowly, she raised her hand, drawing the earth away and raising lava instead. A small, skinny string of lava.

"Beach party!" Sokka screamed.

The lava dropped, hardening into the earth again and she groaned. She was so close.

Everyone changed into their swimsuits, running down to the beach and leaving them alone.

Zuko tensed as everyone ran off, watching with disappointment, but he looked more upset than anything else.

"You okay," Iskra asked, her hand gently grazing his bicep.

"Yea," he scratched his neck. "I'll meet you at the beach."

"Ok, I'm just going to change first," she kissed his cheek before heading into the house.

Yesterday, Suki and Iskra went shopping through Ember Island in search for clothes as neither of them had any. Their outfits almost matched but they didn't mind, it was all they could afford really.
