Desperate for food Aang, Katara, Sokka and Iskra walked through the forest in hopes of finding a village or a market. Anything with food.
They've been on foot for a couple hours to give Appa a break after flying all night. Once Iskra finished explaining everything to them last night they left in a hurry incase Zuko found them.
"This should give us a good idea of what's around here," Katara states as she walks up to a column with different posters covering the whole thing.
"See if you can find a menu, I'm starving," Sokka sighs, rubbing his grumbling belly.
"I bet we'll find something to eat here; the fire days festival," Aang points to a large poster.
"I can't read very well but shouldn't we be staying away from the fire nation?" Iskra looks at the picture.
"But it has fire nation cultural exhibits, jugglers, benders, magicians, this would be a great place for me to study some real fire benders," Aang cheers.
"Iskra is a real fire bender," Katara points out.
"She said she's not going to teach me until I learn water and earth," Aang groans and Iskra smiles.
"You might want to rethink that, look at this," Sokka says from the other side of the colum.
They all walk around, standing behind him as they look at what troubled Sokka. It was a poster of Aang holding his staff.
"It's a poster of me!" Aang smiles.
"A wanted poster, this is bad," Sokka shakes his head.
"Fire nation people live for money, if even one person sees you they'll hand you in for the cash prize," Iskra points to the long string of zeros at the bottom of the page.
"We should get out of here," Katara agrees.
"Aang you're not ready yet, but I swear I'll teach you firebending. It's not an easy skill to master, and it can easily hurt others, trust me," Iskra rests a hand on his shoulder.
"Okay," Aang agrees, rolling his eyes with a smug smile on his face, laughing softly.
His laughter faded when the ground thumped beneath them, rumbling like an earthquake. They all looked to Iskra.
"Fire nation soldiers," Iskra whispers and they all duck behind bushes.
5 fire nation soldiers demonstrated brute strength by charging through on the backs of rhinos wearing thick metal armour.
A man dressed in a black cloak unfortunately crossed their path, forcing the rhinos to stop and the soldiers to yell. The man threw a small object at one of the rhinos and it blew up in its face, creating smoke as a cover for him.
But before he could move, a soldier fired through his palm, clearing the haze from his eyesight and surrounding the man.
Iskra felt bad, the man was clearly rebelling against the fire nation and didn't look like he could save himself. All he had was those weird bombs.
"Hey Aang, you wanted to see some firebending?" Iskra asks with a smirk.
She jumps out of the bush, running in front of the man just in time. As she stood in front of him the 5 soldiers released their wraft on to her. Iskra bended the fire away, pushing it back towards them and they fell off their rhinoceroses.
"Get on!" Sokka yells to her from Appa.
They were all on Appa, ready to leave but not without her. Iskra ran to him, jumping onto Appa's saddle and grabbing Aangs hand as he pulled her up.
