After a long day of Zuko trying to teach Aang firebending everyone gathered around a fire, eating dinner as they talked amongst each other.

Haru sat next to Iskra as they talked. She laughed about something he said, briefly hitting his shoulder as they both laughed.

Zuko watched, brows furrowed and arms crossed. Why was she laughing? He doubted Haru was that funny.

Iskra hadn't talked to him since they hugged. He knew it was his fault. But why would she even talk to Haru?

As she ate, some of the rice stuck to her lip. Haru noticed, raising his finger to help.

"Listen everybody," Zuko spoke loudly as he walked towards them. "I've got some pretty bad news, I've lost my stuff."

"Don't look at me, I didn't touch your stuff," Toph said defensively.

"I'm talking about my firebending, it's gone," He sighed.

Katara broke out into a fit of laughter, covering her mouth to try and suppress the noise.

"I'm sorry, I'm just laughing at the irony. You know how it would've been nice to for us if you'd lost your firebending a long time ago," Katara smiled.

"Well It's not lost, it's just weaker for some reason," He shrugged.

"Maybe your just not as good as you think you are," Katara smirked.

"Ouch," Toph giggled.

Zuko decided to ignore her comment. "I bet it's because I changed sides."

"That's a terrible excuse for losing your firebending," Iskra spoke up.

"I haven't lost it," He said again.

"Right, it's just weaker," She rolled her eyes, continuing her meal.

Now that Zuko was safe and alive she could be mad at him, and best believe she was.

"Iskra loses her firebending all the time, why doesn't she just tell him how to get it back?" Aang suggested cluelessly.

"I never lose it, I just choose not to use it," Iskra corrects.

"You're going to need to learn to draw your firebending from a different source," Toph advised. "I recommend the original source."

"How's he suppose to do that? By jumping into a volcano?" Sokka's voice dripped with sarcasm.

"No, Zuko needs to go back to whatever the original source of fire bending is," Toph said plainly.

"So is it jumping into a volcano?" Sokka checked.

"No, the original firebenders were dragons," Iskra explained.

During her avatar training, Iskra learnt from the dragons. She would watch them during the night when Zhao wasn't breathing down her neck and she could relax.

They taught her unimaginable things about firebending without ever knowing she was there. It was beautiful. Until they were all killed.

"Well this doesn't help me, dragons are extinct," Zuko thought. "Maybe there's another way, the first people to learn from the Dragons were the ancient Sun Warriors."

"Sun warriors?" Aang asked. "Well I know they weren't around when I was a kid."

"No, they died of thousands of years ago, but the civilisation wasn't too far from where we are now," Zuko turned around, looking to the distance. "Maybe we can learn something by poking around the ruins."
