*Flashback*
Emily POV:
"Come on! I have this really cool place to show you!" Tatum called from over her shoulder as she jogged ahead of me.
"I'm coming!" I called as I jogged after her.
This is Tatum and I's third date. It's been two weeks since the first date and I can't get her out of my head. I just want to be around her all the time. For our second date, I had brought Tatum out for dinner and a movie. It was just something simple but I could tell that she loved it. However I will admit that it wasn't as cool as her idea to bring me go karting.
"Hurry up slow poke or we're going to miss it!" Tatum yelled.
"Miss what?!" I yelled back.
"Hurry up and you'll see!" She said with a laugh.
If you couldn't tell, this date was also one of Tatum's crazy ideas. She had me drive us to parking lot by a hiking trail. We've already walked past several pretty streams and even a small water fall but according to Tatum that isn't the coolest thing we'll see today.
We calmly walked through the trails for a while before Tatum looked down at her watch and realized that we were running late, hence why she is sprinting through the forest and making me run after her.
I never thought that I would quite literally chase after a girl but here we are.
I could barely see Tatum running up ahead. Her black under armor backpack was bouncing up and down as she ran. She held on to the backpack straps for dear life as if she was afraid it would fly off. With how fast she's running I wouldn't be surprised if it did.
Up ahead I could see the trees start to open up into a field where Tatum was running. She threw her hands up in the air and laughed as she finally stopped running. When I caught up to her, I could finally see why.
The clearing in the trees had opened up into a wide grass field. Flowers were scattered throughout the green grass and butterflies flew about. I also understood now why Tatum was worried about us 'being late'. It was because the sun was beginning to set. The meadow looked ten times more beautiful when it was being illuminated by the purples and pinks coming from the setting sun.
"This is beautiful." I whispered, still in shock over what I was seeing.
"Do you like it?" Tatum asked as she fidgeted with her hands.
"I love it." I whispered. She smiled back at me as I stepped closer to her. I gently wrapped my arms around her waist as I pulled her closer to me. She didn't even hesitant to place her arms over my shoulders.
"The view isn't the only reason that I brought you here." She admitted.
"What else did you bring me for then?" I asked.
"I was wondering if you would be my girlfriend?" She asked nervously.
"I'd be honored." I whispered back. We both smiled, staring into each other's eyes before I couldn't take it anymore. I leaned forward and she did the same. Our lips connected in a soft kiss. The smell of her perfume filled my nose and the feel of her lips against mine sent a burning fire through my body.
"I'm surprised that you didn't tease me this time." Tatum mumbled against my lips as we pulled apart.
"Why do you like it when I tease you? Cause I gladly will." I stated mischievously as I moved one of my hands from her waist to her stomach. I gently slipped my finger between the hem of her crop and her jeans as I traced her soft skin. I heard her breath catch as her face reddened with a blush. She stepped back slightly and pointed a finger at me, shaking her head.
