*Four Years Later*

Tatum POV:

It's been a long ride hasn't it? It took five years of ups and downs for Emily and I to finally get back to a healthy place. More like it took me five years to get my shit together. Then we stayed together all though college and I have no plans of breaking up with her anytime soon. Actually, my plan is to do the exact opposite if you get what I'm saying.

But anyways, here we are!

Let me fill you in on what the past four years have looked like for me and Emily.

As you know, Emily made the lacrosse team and won the D1 scholarship! Trust me nobody was more proud of her than I was. Believe it or not though, that wouldn't be the highlight of Emily's first season as a D1 player.

She finished the season with 25 goals and 18 assists, making her the third highest scorer on our team. Pretty impressive for someone who hadn't played since sophomore year of high school don't you think?

I ranked first with 36 goals and 21 assists, breaking the league wide record for most points scored by a true freshman. Also, Chelsea was the second highest scorer for us. She had 27 goals and 19 assists placing her just barley above Emily. After the season, Chelsea went on to play professional lacrosse and guess what? Her and Anna finally got together after they graduated. If you ask me, I saw that coming from a mile away.

Emily's senior year of college she was named the league MVP for lacrosse and she was also the top scorer in the entire league. She even beat me out! But I was only 3 points short so I was still a close second. I would take the title of league MVP my senior year, only because Emily graduated.

Emily and I then led the UConn Huskies women's lacrosse team to win the national championship my junior and senior years. After Emily graduated, she got her dream job as a physical therapist at a hospital in Hartford. We both decided that we never wanted to be apart again and this way she could stay near me for my last year of college. With that being said, we rented our first apartment together and got a dog named Chase, who of course is a husky.

I graduate college next week and I already have my first job lined up as a mechanical engineer where I'll be helping design cars for Lamborghini. I also already know what I'm spending my first several paychecks on.

A ring.

Like I said I never want to be apart from Emily again. She's the love of my life and I've known this since the first day that I laid eyes on her. When I asked her parents for permission, I didn't even have time to get the full question out before they were hugging me and screaming with joy.

All I know is that I'm the luckiest girl in the world and soon, I'll be married to the most perfect girl in the world.

*Two Years Later*

Emily POV:

Last year I got married to the love of my life. Tatum had proposed to me the year before and there was not a single sliver of doubt in my mind. This girl is the love of my life and I've known that since the day I first met her.

Honestly, if she had asked me to marry her back in high school I would've said yes. And her mom has literally been manifesting this since the day we met. After we got married, Tatum and I sold our apartment and bought a house instead. The backyard is huge and Chase absolutely loves it.

There's some bigger news though.

I'm pregnant.

Tatum and I decided to start trying IVF a few months ago and it finally worked. We have a son on the way.

"No! We're having a girl!" I could hear Tatum scream from across the house.

"How do you know what I'm thinking?!" I yelled back with a laugh.

"Cause I know you!" She called as I could hear her running up the stairs. A couple seconds later, the bedroom door was opened and Tatum walked over to me with the biggest smile on her face. Without saying another word she leaned down and placed a soft kiss on my lips. My heart fluttered and I couldn't help but smile into the kiss.

Tatum still makes me just as nervous as the day I first met her.

After we broke apart from the kiss, Tatum kneeled on the floor in front of me. One of her hands held mine while her other hand was placed on my stomach. She lovingly rubbed her thumb back and forth as she looked down at the small bump.

"We're going to have a beautiful baby girl." She stated.

"Boy. It's a boy." I replied.

"And how do you know that?" She asked as she looked up at me skeptically, raising an eyebrow.

"Mother's intuition." I replied.

"Okay well my mother's intuition says that she's a girl." Tatum stated confidently.

"Okay then. I guess we'll just have to wait and see who's right."

"I guess we will." Tatum replied with a smile. "How are you feeling? Anything I can do for you?" She asked.

"I'm feeling good." I replied with a sigh, a soft smile on my face. "I'd love it if we could just cuddle though."

"Of course we can." Tatum replied with soft smile. She stood back up to her feet before taking my other hand in hers and helping me up from the chair. She walked me over to the bed before moving the covers out of the way so that we could both slip under.

She leaned her back against the headboard before wrapping her arm around my shoulders. I wrapped my arms around her waist and placed my head on her chest. Tatum then leaned down and placed a soft kiss on the top of my head before wrapping her other arm around me as well and pulling me into her.

I've said once before and I'll say it again. I wish that we could hold each other like this forever and now we can.

Turns out Tatum wasn't mine just 'for senior year'.

She's mine forever,

and I'm hers forever.
