Emily POV:

I waited anxiously all day for that phone call. During my morning lecture, I sat in the seat the closest to the door instead of my usual seat just in case the phone rang and I had to bolt out the door.

But it never rang.

After lecture, I texted Sienna to see if she wanted to meet up for lunch. I desperately need someone to distract me right now but unfortunately Tatum is in class. Sienna replied almost instantly to meet her in the dinning hall. To be honest, I'm surprised that she's even awake already.

I packed up my things into my bag and started my walk to the dinning hall. Some of the freshly fallen snow from the night before had stuck and left a thin coating on the ground. I was careful as I walked, just in case there is any ice. I don't want to slip and hurt myself if there's a chance that I may actually make the team.

When I got to the dinning hall, I was surprised to see Sienna waiting outside for me.

"Hurry up bitch! I don't fuck with the cold!" She said with a shiver. I couldn't help but laugh. I quickly climbed the steps and then the two of us entered the dinning hall. Sienna and I both sighed with relief as the wave of the heater hit us as we entered. Sienna then went to take her gloves off and I laughed again.

"What are you laughing at?" She said with a chuckle. "You know me and the cold don't get along."

"I know I know." I replied with a smile. Being with Sienna was already making me feel better.

We then both walked over and swiped our cards to enter the dinning hall. I placed my bag down at the first open table I could find in order to insure that there would be a place for us to sit after we got our food. Hopefully nobody decides to steal my bag.

Sienna and I then split up to grab our food. The dinning hall is buffet style so there's a huge range of options to choose from. Sienna's go to is the pasta but mine is always the stir fry. Sienna is a picky eater though so it makes sense that she sticks to the more common foods.

After grabbing my food I walked back over to the table. I let out a sigh of relief when I saw Sienna sitting there with my bag still there. I placed my dish on the table and my bag on the floor before sitting down. Sienna quickly swallowed her food and wiped her mouth before folding her arms on the table and turning her attention towards me.

"Okay girl, spill. What has you so stressed?" She asked.

"I'm supposed to be getting a call today about meeting with Coach Lawson to find out if I made the team or not." I stated.

"Well you're obviously making the team but go on." Sienna prompted.

"I still haven't heard anything from her. I figured it would be a morning call since people have classes during the day so I'm getting nervous." I admitted.

"It's okay to be nervous Em but trust me when I say you have nothing to worry about. Tatum told me all about how good you did at tryouts. I don't even know lacrosse but even I can say that there is no doubt in my mind that you'll make the team." Sienna reassured me. My heart fluttered when she mentioned that Tatum had been talking about me to her.
