Okay little life update for yall, I just started college so I apologize for the lack of updates. I've just been super busy lately. My updating schedule is going to slow down a bit but I am still going to do my best to update as often as possible.

Tatum POV:
Now that Christmas break is over, it means that lacrosse is back in full swing. Our season is just a month and a half away so we are training extra hard to prepare. That also means that there's only two weeks until we host our 'tryouts'.
Calling it a tryout doesn't even sound right. Technically it is open to everyone but there's two girls that have been specifically invited to try out. Olivia James and Christina Rolland. Both girls are extremely good lacrosse players and they have been personally invited by coach to come to tryouts. The only reason they both don't currently have a spot on the team is because there's only one scholarship available, so coach is making them fight for it.
They'll both make the team, but only one of them will get the scholarship.
Two spots and one scholarship. That's all there is left and I somehow have to convince coach that Emily is not only good enough to make this team, but that she's also good enough to win that scholarship over those two five star recruits.
I've certainly got my work cut out for me.
All I have to do is convince coach to give Emily a chance. I know that if given the opportunity then Emily will show coach how amazing of a player she is and that she is more than deserving of that scholarship spot.
"Alright water break!" Coach yelled. Her breath fogging in the air as she spoke.
We all obliged and jogged over to get our waters. Even though we were back from winter break, it felt colder than ever out.
I took a couple quick sips of my water, which was much warmer than the air outside, before placing it back down by my bag. I then glanced over and watched as coach started to set up the next drill with cones.
How am I supposed to convince her to let Emily tryout?
I felt someone walk up next to me before my shoulder was nudged. I turned to see Chelsea taking one last sip of her water before tossing it aside.
"What's on your mind?" She asked as she shoved her cold hands deep into the pockets of her sweatpants. I sighed as I tried to think about how I could explain this situation to Chelsea.
"I think that Emily would be an amazing addition to this team." I stated.
"How so?" Chelsea asked and I could tell that it was the captain in her talking. Part of her job is to make the team the best that it can be and I can tell that she is asking out of genuine curiosity and not judgement.
"Well back in high school Emily was one of the top ranked recruits. She had 200 points by midway through her sophomore season." I explained.
"Holy shit that's impressive. Why isn't she playing for us already?" Chelsea asked with a laugh.
"Because she broke her wrist the summer before junior year and damaged many of her rotational ligaments and bones. For a while she couldn't rotate her wrist and once she gained that mobility back, it physically pained her to cradle a stick." I added.
"Ouch that sounds awful. But how can she play if she suffered such a serious injury?" Chelsea asked.
"She's healed now. I know that just fooling around is a long ways away from an actual game but Emily was doing great playing against me and she didn't seem to have any pain." I said. I watched as Chelsea nodded and I could tell that there were a lot of thoughts on her mind.
