Ramin and I were sitting together while waiting to get interviewed, and I was slightly nervous about it.
My social skills had always been impaired due to my acute shyness and being on the spectrum, so I wasn't over the moon for the interview.
Seeming to read my mind, Ramin wrapped his arm around my shoulders and leaned in to press a kiss on my forehead.
"How are you doing?" he asked softly.
I shrugged.
"I could do without the anxiety, that's for sure."
"You're going to be fine," he replied in a reassuring tone. "I have faith in you."
I managed a weak smile, but I still felt unsure about it.
Ramin then pulled me closer to him and quietly said, "I'm going to be here by your side the whole time. You don't need to worry."
I rested my head on his shoulder, grateful for his presence.
"You're the best," I smiled.
"I know," he winked charmingly.
I chuckled and looped my arm through his, wanting to be as close to him as possible.
He kissed the top of my head sweetly and rubbed my back, a sign of comfort and intimacy from him.
