I stood off to the side while Ramin filmed the second music video for his new song, "'Til I Hear You Sing", which was the title song for Love Never Dies.
Even though there was a recording of his voice playing over the speakers, he was still singing live in order to show the emotions that he wanted to express through the lyrics.
I could see tears glistening in his beautiful eyes, and even though I knew they weren't real, it broke my heart to see him singing about his lost love.
When he hit the final note, I wiped my own tears away and gave a little round of applause.
Ramin smiled at the director and gave him a pat on the shoulder, then made his way over to me.
Once he was close enough, he wrapped his arms around my waist and held me close to his chest as he softly asked, "Why are you crying, my Angel? Is everything okay?"
"Oh, yes," I replied while wiping a stray tear off of my cheek. "It's nothing."
"Are you sure?" he pressed. "You know you can tell me anything."
I sighed and shook my head.
"The song just makes me sad, especially when I see you crying as you sing it."
His gaze dropped slightly in realization, and he immediately pressed a sweet kiss on my forehead.
"I'm sorry, love," he apologized. "I never meant to hurt you in any sort of way."
"You didn't," I reassured him. "I only get sad because your acting is so good. Your heartbroken tears are very believable, my friend."
"I still don't want to make you cry," Ramin argued. "You should leave if it's making you uncomfortable."
"No, no," I said, cupping his cheek with my hand. "I'm here to support you, no matter how I feel. It's not about me; it's about you. Remember that."
"Yeah, but-"
I interrupted his retort by kissing him deeply on the lips, and he melted into my embrace.
When I pulled back, he looked at me for a moment, then sighed.
"Alright, you can stay," Ramin said quietly. "But I want you to leave if you are getting too emotional. Deal?"
"Deal."
I hugged him and buried my face into his chest, smiling to myself when he kissed the top of my head gently.
