I anxiously sat in the airplane as it took off from the tarmac, gripping the arms of the chair tightly.

I had never been a fan of heights, so it was like a traumatic experience for me.

Luckily, I felt a soothing hand on mine, and I looked over to see Ramin with a gentle smile on his face.

"It's okay, Avery," he said softly. "Don't be frightened."

"Easier said than done," I replied through gritted teeth.

"I know," he nodded, pressing a kiss to my knuckles. "But you've got to try."

I did as Ramin said and focused on his hand instead, tracing small patterns on his palm.

His touch was always comforting, and it never failed to soothe my racing brain, which was a frequent occurrence for me.

But eventually, my nervous thoughts slipped away, and I kissed the back of his hand to show my appreciation to him.

"Thank you," I smiled.

"Anytime, my Angel."
