I was sitting in my office and working tirelessly on a document when I heard the door open behind me.
"Hey, stranger," Ramin's friendly voice rang out.
I smiled and glanced over my shoulder at him.
"Hello."
He closed the door and draped his arms over my shoulders.
"How are you, my Angel?" he asked, pressing a kiss to my cheek.
"I'm okay," I shrugged. "This document is taking forever to finish, though, and I'm getting tired."
"Maybe you just need some motivation," Ramin said while moving to the small sofa across from me. "Come here."
I rubbed my eyes and slowly got up, then placed myself on his lap.
He slid his arms around my torso and pulled me closer, letting me snuggle into his chest.
"Is this better?" he asked softly.
"Yes, thank you," I replied, laying my head on Ramin's shoulder and nuzzling my face into his warm neck.
He chuckled and kissed my forehead gently.
"Take as much time as you need," he whispered. "I'm not going anywhere."
I smiled to myself and did as he told.
