The morning sunshine drifted across the hotel room, waking me up from my slumber.

My eyelids fluttered from the bright rays, and I shielded my face with the blanket.

Suddenly, I felt a gentle hand on my leg, and a soft voice said, "Good morning, my Angel."

I peeked my eyes over the blanket and smiled.

"Good morning, my Phantom."

Ramin crawled over, laid down next to me, and asked quietly, "How are you?"

"Better now that I've seen your beautiful face," I replied while brushing his curly hair away.

He smiled back and pulled me into his broad chest, placing little kisses on the top of my head.

"You're more beautiful than I could ever hope to be," he whispered.

I glanced up at him.

"You don't need to flatter me every time I make a compliment about you."

"Yes, I do," he said, unfazed. "We promised that we would love each other equally, and that's what I'm doing. If you love me, I love you."

"But you don't have to," I replied. "I'm not forcing you to say these things."

"I know that," Ramin nodded. "But I'm making the decision to give you those compliments. It's my choice."

I sighed with exaggeration and said, "You're very stubborn, you know."

"Oh, I'm well aware," he smirked. "Sierra tells me that all the time."

"Shocking," I mumbled under my breath.

When I sat up to stretch, Ramin wrapped his muscular arms around me and set his chin on my shoulder.

"You can't resist me, Ave," he said slyly while kissing my cheek. "I know you won't be able to stay mad at your Angel."

I smiled to myself and rested my head against his.

"I'm not even going to try to ignore you like last time."

"Good idea," he winked. "You wouldn't have lasted long."

"You're way too confident about that," I scoffed. "I have some will power in me."

He nuzzled his nose into the back of my neck and placed a light kiss there.

"Not when it comes to my voice, I'm afraid."

His touch instantly sent shivers down my spine, and I leaned back into him for more.

"You're probably right," I sighed.

"I know I am," he said, and I could practically see him winking while he spoke.

I rolled my eyes and let him pull me back down on the bed, where we laid together for at least another hour.
