Clark groaned as he pushed himself off the bathroom floor. He had just finished throwing up his breakfast. He leaned against the sink and flushed the toilet. He looked down at his stomach and sighed. He was two months pregnant with Batman's baby; his belly was barely starting to show. Exiting the bathroom, Clark looked around the farmhouse to see all evidence that the bat had been there gone.

He wasn't a lover, he knew that. He was less than a friend with benefits to the other. Clark felt his stomach clench at the thought, how was he supposed to tell Batman they were going to have a baby? Clark exited the house and made his way to the barn to take care of the animals.

Clark was sitting on the sofa watching the news and eating pickles when a call came in requesting he be at the tower. He made his way upstairs and changed into his suit. The tight spandex showed his tiny bump. Clark grabbed a plain blue hoodie and quickly pulled it on before flying out the window and up toward the tower.

When he got there Diana, Green Lantern, Flash, John, Aquaman, and Batman were already there waiting for him. He took his seat across from the Dark Knight and blushed at the questioning look that threw his way. Before turning to Diana who had started explaining a mission.

Clark zoned in and out as everyone talked about the mission, not saying much. He glanced at Batman everyone and then saw the cold, emotionless look on his face, then glanced around at the others. "Superman, are you listening?" Diana asked, making Clark's attention snap to her.

"Sorry, could you repeat that?" he asked sheepishly. Diana's eyes roamed over him before she spoke again. "We need you to go in and take out the big weapon with Batman and Green Lantern, while Aquaman, Jonn, and I fight the men. Flash will create a diversion, leading the men away from you and to us," she told him.

Clark frowned as he thought it over. He hadn't been on a mission since he found out he was pregnant and going on a mission could damage the baby, he wasn't just thinking about him now. "I'm sorry, Diana, but I can't be a part of this mission," He said.

Diana frowned at him, "What do you mean you can't? We need you on this mission," Clark knew that was a lie, and that was one of the reasons he didn't get along with her. She always wanted to be in charge of their missions, and if you didn't want to go along with her plan, she lied to get you on board, but she couldn't lie to Clark.

"No, you don't. Look I'm not going to be going on missions for a few months, I have some personal things to deal with," He told her, hoping she'd back off his case.

"What personal problem do you have that you would be so selfish and put yourself before the faith of many?" She asked, trying to guilt him into going.

Instead of replying, Clark stood from his seat and exited the room. He was halfway down the hall before he heard the footsteps behind him. Turning, he saw Batman and Green Lantern following him. "Don't tell me you guys are going to try and guilt me into going, too," he said tiredly.

"No, we aren't. I just want to see if you are okay," Lantern said as they approached.

"I'm fine, I just haven't been feeling too good lately," Clark told them.

Batman rested his hand on his shoulder and squeezed. "Look, we all have lives outside of superheroing. We're all normal people who have issues like everybody else. And if you need to take time then do it," He told Clark firmly.

Clark stared at him, Batman just gave him advice. "Thanks, guys, I'll see you around," He said. They bid each other goodbye and headed in different directions, Clark going back to his farm to sleep in his soft bed.
