Clark was excited. He had gotten Batman to accept his request to spend the holiday. He had packed two suitcases and enough clothes to last until a week after New Year. He was currently driving up the long driveway to the address that Batman had given him. He had to say he was nervous. He was going to see who Batman really was behind the mask.

He pulled up to the huge house and stepped out of his car. He took a moment to look around, appreciating the scene before making his way up to the door. He raised his hand and rang the doorbell, listening as it echoed through the house.

He heard football steps approaching the door but paused just before coming too close. With his super-sonic hearing, he could hear the person's heartbeat behind the door, and because of the way it was beating, he was sure it was Batman's.

"Come on, Bats. I can hear your heart beating behind the door," He called loud enough for the other man to hear.

He heard Batman take a deep breath before the door opened to reveal a man with dark hair, hard muscles, and piercing blue eyes Clark was sure he'd seen before. His eyes roamed Bats' body before going back to meet his eyes.

"Are you going to come in or stand out there all day?" Batman asked, stepping aside.

"Thanks, nice place you got here," Clark said.

"Thanks, Kent. Let me show you to your room," Batman said, leasing Clark further into the house. Clark took the opportunity to look around at the pictures hanging on the wall. He noticed Bats in a picture shaking hands with the mayor, who was shaking hands with a cheque. Taking a closer look at the picture, Clark noticed that the name on the cheque said Bruce Wayne and Clark Gasped.

"You're Bruce Wayne," He exclaimed, spinning around to face Bats.

"I thought it was obvious," Bruce said in a duh tone, before continuing walking.

"I interviewed you, that's how you knew my name when you opened the door," He said, reflecting.

Bruce led him to a room on the second floor. "This is your room; do whatever you want with it," he said, opening the door and showing Clark a room bigger than his living room.

"Wow, this is amazing," Clark whispered, poking the bed and smiling at how soft it was.

"I'm glad you like it, I'll be in the kitchen if you need me," He said, turning to leave the room.

"Wait, Bruce. I was wondering if you could help me with something later?" He asked, slightly more confident than he felt.

"Sure, what is it?" Bruce asked, looking over his shoulder.

"It's...um..you'll see when we get there. But you don't have to wear your costume," Clark told him.

Bruce eyed him suspiciously, "OK, just come get me when it's time to leave."

"OK, we leave at 6," Clark said as Bruce left the room and closed the door behind him. Clark collapsed on the bed and covered his eyes with his hand, without realizing he was dozed off to sleep.
