Earlier that day

Bruce was frustrated. He had been investigating this bank robbery for hours and still couldn't figure out how the criminal got away. He walked down the hall of Headquarters, not really paying attention to where he was going or anyone around him.

"Hey, Batman," he heard a voice call and paused, looking back with a slight smirk when he saw who it was.

"Hey, Kal. How are you?" Bruce asked, and watched as Clark blushed, making his heart flutter a little.

"I'm good, what are you up to?" Clark asked in return.

"I'm looking over some surveillance footage of a bank robbery last night. The crook disappeared into thin air, and I'm trying to figure out how," Bruce told him.

Clark hovered beside Bruce as they walked down the hall, and Bruce could tell the other man was casting side glances at him occasionally.

"Kal, do you have something to say? You keep looking at me," Bruce said, pausing his work and looking at Kal.

Kal took a deep breath and placed his feet on the ground, which Bruce found weird. He never actually stood unless he was nervous or showing some other strong emotion. "I...I...Iwaswonderingifyouwantedtogoonadatewithmelatertodayifyournottobusy?" He rushed out, and Batman blinked at him.

"Could you repeat that maybe a little slower?" Bruce asked and Kal looked down.

"I was wondering if you'd like to go on a date with me later today if you're not too busy?" Kal asked slowly.

"Ok," Bruce said, and Kal's head snapped up to look at him.

"Really?" He asked excitedly, smiling widely.

"Sure, I mean, the worst we can have is a bad date," Bruce said, chuckling.

"Yes." Kal cheered and Bruce chuckled some more.

"Meet me at the old church at seven," Bruce told him. Before heading off, he turned his back and smiled. They almost had him.

⌚🕐🕑🕒🕓🕔🕕Time Skip🕕🕔🕓🕒🕑🕐⌚

Bruce sat at the edge of the apartment building waiting for his long-time boyfriend, he was excited to tell him the news. They had both been in love with the Kryptonian for years, and they bonded over that eventually falling in love with each other, but the love for the other man still remained.

"Hey there, Batsy. What brings you to a place like this?" the Joker said as he appeared out of nowhere.

"I was looking for worthy criminals to fight." Bruce retorted and Joker pouted.

"Are you saying I'm not worthy?" He asked, and Bruce shook his head and watched as the clown walked closer.

"You said you have news about our Kryptonian," Joker said, coming right up to Bruce and running a hand down his chest.

"H...he asked me out today," Bruce said, grabbing Joker's hand, and stopping his descent.

"Really?" Joker asked, and Bruce nodded. "Finally! I was getting impatient," He said, and Bruce raised a brow.

"What? You know you want to get your hands on that sexy ass too," Joker huffed, before leaning up and kissing Bruce.

They heard a crash close by and quickly pulled away to look at what it was. Bruce felt Joker stiffen when he saw Kal hovering there, it may have been dark but the look of betrayal on his face was clear.

"Kal, what are you doing here?" Bruce asked and almost winced, but Kal said nothing; he just looked at them before picking up the car with what Bruce assumed was criminal in it and started to fly away.

"Kal, wait," He called, moving towards the red and blue-clad hero, Kal paused and looked back at him.

"I'm sor..." Bruce began but Kal cut him off.

"Don't, just don't," Kal said before flying away at super speed.

"Damn it, Jay, we fucked up," Bruce said. Running his hands over his face and hearing a sigh.

"I know, maybe. I can talk to him," Joker suggested and Bruce turned to look at him.

"Are you sure? I mean, I was supposed to ease him into the idea of all three of us," Bruce said, and Joker came over to him.

"It's worth a shot. Maybe after, he'll give us a chance," Joker said, kissing his cheek before turning to leave.

"Jay," Bruce called after him, and the clown turned around. "Wanted to come back to the Manor? I'm sure Alfred would love to make your favorite," he asked, and the Joker agreed instantly.
