Bruce and Clark spent the whole week doing random Christmas things, which Bruce was reluctant to do but enjoyed in the end.

They went Christmas shopping the day after the ice rink, Clark spending hours looking for the perfect lights, then the next day putting them up, he also got Bruce to agree to let him change the colors of all the walls from the depressing gray color to a soft light color and make the place brighter.

Using his super-speed Clark was able to have all the walls painted by lunchtime and even the outside of the house done. When he was done he was covered in paint and sweaty. He walked inside the house and saw a sandwich on the table with a note on it.

'Clark, I saw you were busy, doing whatever it is you're doing. So I made you lunch. I had to go into the office, but I'll be back by four.

Bruce,'

Smiling at the note, Clark ate his sandwich and made his way to the living room. He pulled out his list and marked off two things before placing it back in his pocket.

He had four more things left on the list and he was excited about them. He ate his lunch and then decorated the house with the Christmas things he bought. By the time he was done, Bruce had come home long ago. Clark ate a quick dinner before going upstairs and falling into bed tired.

The next day Bruce woke a little late, he showered and dressed before going downstairs to see Clark already up and cooking.

"Morning, Bruce," he said cheerfully.

"Good Morning, Clark," He greeted back with a smile. He had to admit even though he wasn't a fan of Christmas, he enjoyed having Clark in his home. His usual lonely and miserable home was much brighter and less lonely and that happened when he walked through the door.

"What do you have planned for today?" He asked as the other man placed a plate of bacon and pancakes in front of him.

"What makes you think I have something planned?" Clark asked, turning back to the sink.

"You have a list," Bruce said pointedly.

"OK, we have two days till Christmas, and we are going to get a tree," Clark said, spreading his arms as if he were presenting something amazing.

"I could just have one delivered," Bruce said, taking a bite of his pancakes.

Clark frowned at the statement. " You can't just have one delivered; you have to go to the tree lot, where they have hot cocoa, and you get to pick your tree and cut it down," Clark said dejectedly as if he thought Bruce would disagree.

"I'm not saying no, we can go after I finish eating," Bruce told him, continuing his meal.

One and a half hours later they pulled up to the tree lot and got out of the car. Clark looked around and smiled. The smile on his face was enough to make Bruce forget the cold and frostbite he was getting.

They walked up to the cabin and got an ax to cut down their tree before exiting the cabin. They headed up to the lot and wandered into the trees.

They looked for a while before Bruce heard a squeal behind him, making him turn around quickly. He looked around but didn't see Clark, he looked around, going back a few steps, and he found Clark sitting on the ground.

"Clark?" he asked, going up to him and seeing what had happened. What he saw made his heart melt. The man had a chipmunk in his hand, feeding him a marshmallow. He looked up at Bruce and Smiled brightly.

"Look," He said, holding up the small animal for Bruce to see. Bruce looked at it then back at Clark.

"Did you squeal because you saw a chipmunk?" Bruce asked, raising a brow.

"Noooo," Clark said, blushing and standing. He held the chipmunk close. I want this tree," he said, pointing to a tree about three feet taller than he was.

Bruce smiled at his blushed cheeks before picking up the ax Clark had dropped and starting to chop down the tree.

"Let's go," Bruce said, once the tree was down. Clark, still with the chipmunk in his left hand, lifted up the tree and brought it to the cabin, where they paid and tied it to the car before heading home after a long conversation on why Clark had to let go of the chipmunk.

Once they got there, they brought the tree inside and set it up before heading to bed, leaving the tree to be decorated tomorrow.
