Bruce watched as Clark climbed out of his bed and got dressed. He sighed and sat up against the headboard, the silk sheets pooling into his lap.

"Can't you stay?" He asked softly, already knowing the answer.

"Bruce, you know I don't...you know," he said motioning to the bed before pulling on his shirt.

Bruce knew what he was saying; he didn't cuddle and do pillow talk. He doesn't stay after screwing his brains out. Not even five minutes after he's up and out of bed, Bruce can't even catch his breath.

"Right, you can't stay," Bruce said a little dejectedly.

Clark finished getting dressed and went into the bathroom, while Bruce watched him. When he came out a few minutes later, he looked perfect, as Bruce always thought he did.

"I'll see you soon," he said, walking over to Bruce and giving him a light kiss before heading to the balcony and flying off. Bruce slowly climbed out of bed and made his way to the balcony door, pulling it close. He wishes Clark would stay at least once, but he guesses that is just him being hopeful.

Clark landed on top of the small house he shared with his roommate. He jumped from the roof landing in the backyard and entering the house through the back. He walked down the hall and came to the kitchen, where he found Barry, his best friend and roommate, sitting at the counter eating cereal.

Barry looked up at him and sighed. "You were with Bruce again?" He asked and Clark nodded. "He asked you to stay again, didn't he?" He pressed on and again Clark nodded.

"Clark, he's not Johnathan," Barry told him and Clark flinched at the mention of his ex.

"I know he's not, it's just hard," Clark told him, taking a glass from the cupboard and filling it with water.

"You can't keep doing this to yourself or this Bruce guy. You need to tell him maybe he can help, Clark." Barry said he was tired of seeing his best friend look so depressed every time he came back from spending time with Bruce.

"I know, Barry. I just..." Clark didn't finish his sentence, staring down I'm the now-empty glass in his hands. "I'm going to bed, we have to look out early tomorrow," He said, placing the glass in the sink and heading towards the stairs.

"You know if you don't tell him soon, he's going to leave you," Barry called after him before turning back to his cereal.
