Bruce sat on the couch with Joker in his arms and watched Kal disappear up the stairs. He looked back down at Jay, who was looking back at him sleepily and smiled. "Let's get to bed," he said, standing up and leading Jay to the room where Kal told them they were staying.
They entered the room, and Jay fell onto the bed, groaned, and snuggled further into the soft blanket on the bed. Bruce chuckled before stripping down and helping Jay out of his clothes. He climbed in and pulled the blanket over them before dozing off to sleep.
Joker woke up to the early morning sunlight floating through the window, he slid out of bed and made his way over to the window, pushed it open, and smelled the grass smell of the farm air.
His stomach growled and he pulled on Bruce's shirt before exiting the bedroom and making his way downstairs. He went to the kitchen and decided to make breakfast for everyone. He pulled out bacon and ingredients to make pancakes and got started on breakfast.
He was almost done making breakfast when Bruce came in his pants from the previous night but no shirt. "Morning Jay," he said, kissing him on the temple, moving the fridge, taking out the orange juice, and pouring three glasses.
"Where is Kal?" Bruce asked, bringing the juice to the table.
"I don't know he's probably sleeping," Jay replied.
"No, I checked his room before I came down," Bruce replied.
Just then, a thumping sound came from the back porch. The door opened, and Kal walked in wearing blue, worn-out jeans, a tight white T-shirt, and an open flannel shirt with the sleeves rolled up.
Kal paused when he entered the kitchen and saw them standing there. "Um, morning," He said, his eyes briefly landing on Bruce's exposed chest and long legs.
"Morning, Kal," They both replied, and at the same time.
"I made breakfast if you're hungry," Jay said and Clark's eyes snapped to his green eyes.
"Yeah, that would be nice," He replied, moving to the table as Joker placed the food there. They ate in silence until all the food was gone.
They sat there for a moment in silence, Clark had a thoughtful look on his face. "I thought about what you said yesterday, Bruce," He said, and the other two looked up at him.
"You did? That was um..quick," Bruce said nervously, looking over at Jay.
"Yeah, well, I didn't sleep much last night and woke up early. I thought about it and I decided that it wouldn't hurt to give you guys a chance," He said, and the other two smiled widely.
"You won't regret it, Kal. We promise," Jay said.
"I hope not," he said before turning to Bruce. "Do you have anywhere else to stay until your house is dealt with?" He asked, and Bruce shook his head.
"No, I will probably have to stay in a hotel until they can fix it," he said, and Clark frowned.
"Well, you can stay here till then, but you have to help out on the farm," Clark told him and Bruce's smile grew wider.
"Thanks, Kal," He replied sincerely.
"I would have let him stay with me, but I live in the hideout with some of the henchmen," Jay said and Clark nodded understandingly.
"Alright then, I have to head to work. I'll see you guys when I get home," He said, standing up and putting his plates in the sink before leaving the kitchen to get dressed for work.
