Clark sat in his house surrounded by empty pizza boxes, soda cans, and dirty laundry. The house smelled terrible, but Clark didn't care about that; he was barely taking care of himself. It's been a week since he's been to the tower, seen Batman, or done any superheroing.
He had also taken a break from his job at the Daily Planet, he had a lot of time saved up and he couldn't go there when the reason for his state was there every day. Lois Lane. Clark sighed at the thought of her, the betrayal he felt was still raw. Tears build in the alien's eyes at the thought of her. He thought she was the one, but apparently, she didn't think he was.
In the Batcave
Bruce watched the screen and sighed. There had been no sign of superman for a week and he was worried. Thankfully there hadn't been much crime in Metropolis recently. He had been trying to figure out what went wrong with Superman all week. But have not come up with anything.
He looked up as the door to the cave opened and Alfred walked in. "Master Bruce, you should take a break. You have been working for two days straight," He said, coming up to where Bruce sat.
"I have to find out what's wrong with him first. He hasn't been out fighting and hasn't been to HQ in a week, Alfred," Bruce stressed, looking at the butler with tired eyes.
"How about you call him and ask him to meet, then have a nice little chat?" Alfred asked.
"I actually haven't thought about that," Bruce said. He reached for his phone but Alfred stopped him.
"After you have eaten and taken a nap, sir," The butler said sternly. Bruce knew not to argue with Alfred when he used that voice, so he got up and followed him out of the cave.

Clark stood on the roof of an apartment building. He had received Batman's call to meet up and had quickly gotten dressed and left home. He had always had feelings for another, but he had stuck with Lois because he knew the person would never return his feelings. So, he moved on. He had dated Lois for two years and was very much in love with her.
"Superman," He heard Batman's deep voice behind him. Clark spun around to look at the Cape Crusader.
"You haven't been out this week," Batman said when Clark just continued to look at him.
"I haven't felt like it," Clark replied simply, turning his attention back to the view.
"And, why's that?" Bruce asked, moving to stand beside him.
" Why do you care so suddenly? You never asked any of the others what's wrong when they're sad. So, why care now?" Clark asked.
"They aren't you, Clark. You're my friend," Bruce replied and Clark smiled.
"Two weeks ago I proposed to my girlfriend and she told me she was pregnant," Clark said sadly, tears running down his cheeks now.
"Isn't that good news? Why do you sound sad about that?" Bruce asked, confused.
" I'm saving myself for marriage, Bruce," Clark said, turning to Bruce. His eyes were now red and his lower lip was trembling.
Bruce took in Clark's appearance before what Clark said sunk in. He was saving himself for marriage and she told him she was pregnant when he proposed. "Lois cheated you," Bruce said.
Clark nodded, wiping his tears. The rain had started to fall light around them making Clark's hair flat and darker.
"Yea, she was with him for one and a half years. Almost half of our relationship. I thought she was the one. My mom always told me when I found the one I would feel that spark. I felt it with someone else but I ignored it because I figured they wouldn't want me." Clark told him, clenching his fist.
"And who is that?" Bruce asked.
"I.. it's..."
