Clark was nervous, he had left the cafe before Bruce had returned and gone back to work. He was now taking his time to go home because he knew Bruce would be there waiting for him.

He walked until he reached the edge of the city, in the opposite direction of his house. He didn't know where he was going, but he just had to go away. He walked for another hour before he came to a cliff. It overlooked the ocean, and the moonlight glistened on the water.

Clark sat at the edge of the cliff with his feet hanging off. He watched boats go by on the water and stars twinkling in the sky. He thought about all the things that happened over the years, from when he first met Batman to when they became best friends. He thought of all the birthdays they spent together and all the crimes they fought. Every time Bruce smiled at him and every time he scowled at him for being careless.

Clark felt his heart beat a little faster at each thought, confused by what he was feeling Clark frowned.

He heard a car pulling up behind him and frowned, who would be driving up here at this hour he thought standing to his feet. Shielding his eyes from the bright lights Clark waited until the person turned off their light to see who it was properly, the lights shut off but now it was too dark to see.

The car door opened and shut, and a figure walked towards him. "You know it's wrong to hide from concerned best friends," came Bruce's voice and Clark let out a relieved sigh.

"How did you find me?" he asked. He had been positive that the detective wouldn't find him when he came out here.

"GPS tracker," Bruce said simply, walking past Clark and to the edge of the cliff.

"You have a GPS on me?" Clark exclaimed.

"Of course, I do. I have to keep you out of trouble," Bruce told him, smirking slightly. He looked at Clark before sitting down at the edge and waiting for him to sit, too.

"Want to tell me what's wrong now?" Bruce asked after a moment of silence. Knowing that Bruce wouldn't give up until he found out he.

"I'm losing my powers; they've been acting up ever since my fight with Luther. They've been going away every now and then," Clark told him, fighting back tears.

Bruce looked over at the man sitting next to him. He saw the tears running down his face and pulled him into his arms. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?" He asked softly, wiping Clark's tears with his thumb.

"Because it was frustrating, and I didn't know what to do," Clark said, "and I didn't want you to pity me," He whispered.

"Pity you? Clark, I would never pity you," Bruce said, taking Clark's hands and pulling him to his feet. "I'll help you in any way I can, but first let's get you home and clean up. You're a mess," He said, leading Clark to the car.

When they got to the house. Bruce walked Clark to the door. "Calling tomorrow and taking a vacation," Bruce said as he dug through his pocket down his keys.

Clark opened the door and turned to face Bruce. "Thank you for helping me, Bruce; it means a lot," Clark said with a slight smile on his face.

"That's what you do, Clark. You help the people you love," Bruce said, quickly pressing his lips to Clark. Then he pulled away and headed to his car, quickly getting in and driving away.

That's when Clark figured it out. It was love, that's what he felt for Bruce. And after that, he was sure Bruce felt the same too.
