Bruce made his way into the conference room at the lookout. He gave a brief smile at Clark before taking his place across from him. They weren't dating yet, but Bruce would like to think that they were getting there. They had been on a few dates so far, and Bruce could honestly say he was happy. They had told each other their real first names but not shown their faces yet, and Bruce was OK with that for the time being.
"Hey guys," Flash greeted in his usual happy tone when he entered right after him.
"Good, now that we are all here. Let's get down to business," Bruce said, leaning forward and placing his elbows on the table.
"Have we gotten anywhere with the constant robot attacks and who's behind them?" He asked, looking at Wonder Woman who had been placed in charge of that.
"I have tracked them down to the edge of the Bermuda Triangle, but after that, they simply vanish. I went around the area a few times but found nothing," She relayed and Bruce nodded.
"Maybe they went underwater; bring Aquaman and have him go underwater while you look above," He suggested, and she nodded.
"OK, anything else?" He asked, scanning the room.
"There have been some mutant attacks lately, I have managed to take them out and keep the citizens safe so far, but the attacks are getting more frequent and they seem to be teaming up, I also haven't been able to locate the cause of their mutation," Superman said and Bruce frowned, then groaned.
"Joker," He said, and it was Superman's turn to frown.
"Joker, about two months ago, he and some of his henchmen released some radioactive waste near Gotham Bay. Near the water supply. I tested it and found traces of the waste and shut it down right away till I could fix it, but maybe some of the water didn't get clean before it went out," Bruce said. He hadn't thought about it since then and he felt foolish for not remembering to go back and check the water supply before it was released.
The emergency alarm went off seconds later, startling everyone in the room, but they quickly got on their feet and rushed towards the door.
"Bats," A voice called behind him, making him stop and look back to see Superman standing really close.
"Hey, Clark," He said with a smile before he got swooped up into a kiss that made his toes curl and his shoulders relax. He groaned as Clark pulled away with a smirk on his face.
"I'll see you later," Superman said before speeding out of the room leaving a flustered and half-hard Bruce behind.
"Bastard," Bruce, called after him
Pulling himself together, Bruce quickly reached down and adjusted himself before rushing out of the room and into his jet. Once there, he hopped in and went to the location of the emergency.
When he arrived he saw the others already in a battle against a group of mutants. Sighing, Bruce took a deep breath before throwing himself into battle.
