"has Jack Gilinsky been released yet?" I ask the receptionist.

"he is being brought down right now to sign his release papers." she tells us.

"okay. thank you." I say and the elevator door opens, revealing a beat up Jack, Nate, and Johnson.

"hey babe." he says when he sees me.

"hey." I say, smiling and walking towards him.

he hugs me tighter than I've ever been hugged before.

"I can't breathe." I choke out laughing.

"sorry." he says and let's go, but immediately grabs my hand.

"how are you feeling?" I ask him.

"good. all I have are some scratches and bruises. other than that I'm fine."

"oh. my ankle is sort of hurting from walking on it." I say, hoping he'll give me a piggy back ride.

"hop on." he says, smiling at me.

I hand Sammy my crutches and get on.

"I love you." I say and I give him a kiss on the cheek.

"gag me." Johnson says jokingly.

"shut up." Jack says laughing and I stick my tongue out at him.

"so, 'nothing to a king' was on the radio?" Nate asks.

"yeah. and I'm going to at least try to learn it." I say, laughing a little.

"you have to know it by homecoming." Skate tells me.

"I'll know it before then." I say smiling at him.

we get to the desk and sign Jack out. everyone gets in my car since Jacks is destroyed and the other boys took a taxi here.

"Gilinskys house, right?" Sammy asks.

"yeah. I need to clean up before his parents get back." I say.

"sucks for you." Nate says as he digs his knees into the back of my seat.

"get your knees out of my back, damnit!" I yell laughing a little.

"nah." he says and I just roll my eyes and laugh.

"now people won't question your black eyes." I said, turning to Jack.

"yeah, but I'm going to look like shit for homecoming." he complains.

"oh shut up, we still need to find them dates. wait, how old are y'all?" I ask, making sure I don't hook them up with someone not even close to their age.

"17." Johnson replies.

"17 too." Sammy replies.

"18." Nate says.

"okay. so seniors and juniors it is." I say, and I think of who I could hook them up with for the rest of the drive home.

I know I'm going to try to hook up Sam and Anna. I think Johnson should go with Daniella, one of my bases. and I'm not sure about Nate.

I'm just going to take them to the first football game and hope they find someone.

"are you playing in the first game? wait. that's a stupid question. how long are you out for?" I ask Jack.

"the next week, so no. I'm not going to play for like 3 weeks because I need to get practices in." he tells me.

"play what?" Johnson asks.

"football." I answer for Jack.

"since when?" Sam asks.

"Friday night." Jack answers.

"why the fück didn't you tell us?" Nate asks.

"because a lot of shit has happened. like that she almost broke my nose and then the party and all that." Jack says.

"true." Johnson answers.

the rest of the ride is quiet as we pull up to Jacks empty house.

"is your alarm off?" I ask.

"yeah. I turned it off for the party." Jack replies.

"I'd laugh so fücking hard if people were still here." Nate says and I'm just hoping no one is.

I open the door and the house is a fücking mess.

this is going to be a long day.

I'm sorry.

I'm just busy and I have writers block.

like I know what I want to write, but I don't know how to get there.

I'm at a softball tournament this weekend, so I'll try to write when I don't have a game.

ilysm and thank you for not getting tired of me. 😂💖
